Elvis is an American legend and served his country, gave his time to those in need as well as generous donations and gifts. It would be a disgrace not reinstate his name on the memorial moreso to ALL those involved . Please do whats right remember he was there when you needed him.

I signed this petition because Elvis himself helped to have the USS Arizona become a wonderful tribute to the many people that had died on that ship back in World War 2 and he would be extremely saddened to know that his name has been taken off the list of the USS Arizona if he was alive today as he was such a caring, considerate, wonderful man himself as many of his fans would know that now!!!!!!!!

He deserves to have his name on the memorial. It's ironic that he'started taking uppers and downers while serving in the army. This does not take way from the fact he served his country and did not try to use his stardom to get out of serving or for special treatment. He gave to many charities and did the benefit concert of Aloha from Hawaii and all proceeds  were donated. When the rest of us have done so much for others then maybe we can judge. This concert was given to have the funds raised to give the US Arizona back if I recall correctly so it could serve as a memorial to those who served.

Elvis was a good man, was generous and gave to lots of charities and renowned for being generous. He was proud of his country and served in the armed forces. His generosity with the money from the concert was done out of love and respect for those lost and there relatives. They were prescribed drugs, if anyone is at fault it's the doctor. He was a good man and a true patriot. It's an outrageous.

Conjecture is pathetic...he worked for this for veterans...he was an American, patriotic and did this for love...this is unacceptable! This makes me so sad, you cannot change or erase the good people do for us, it's just not right!

Because I love Elvis and he had done many movies in Hawaii. It should have stayed the same without any changes

Elvis Presley's name must be put on the plaque as he raised the funds to complete this memorial

Elvis gave so much, he had a medical issue with prescription drugs. He doesn't deserve to be treated as an outcast.

Elvis made the single largest contribution to this Memorial and it's unforgiveable that his name has been removed due to jealousy and rank hypocrisy by the so-called 'powers that be'. The world needs less of these bigoted ignoramuses and more folk heroes like Elvis.

I signed it as a protest to the unjust manner in which Elvis's Name was removed. This was a despicable act considering that Elvis Presley payed the bulk of the donation needed to build the monument!

The US Navy honored Elvis with a 'Wreath' that was thrown overboard the USS Arizona 2 days after his death. It was after the Navy lost stewardship of the Memorial and given to the The US Department of Interior that his name was removed later. Political 'Hogwash' and a travesty! Elvis was the catalyst that built that memorial!!!!!
