Mr. Cook was a great coach and he gave everyone a fair chance in football for a starting position. Everytime I saw him around school he would smile and greet me. He's one heck of a guy.

Coach Cook deserves to be honored this way. He has clearly worked very hard for so long.

My daughter graduated from Quincy in 1995. She passed away in 2006 but would have been 1st in line to sign it. He is a fixture at QHS and is very deserving of this honor

I signed this petition because I believe that coach cook deserves to have the QHS gym named after him for all of tbe hard work he has put into making our athletic program one of the best in the big eight and for his dedication to Quincy High School over the past 40 years.

Of all the people that care for Quincy High he would be the one to deserve it. He is always putting in extra effort and time to make Quincy a better place to be. He of all people deserves something and why not have it be something he is passionate about.

Quincy Athletics wouldn't be what it is today if it wasn't for this great man, I'm proud to say he was my coach.

Some people will bring up others that may also deserve this honor but the reason I signed this petition have nothing to do with wins or losses, Games played or coached, years of service, or any other measurable. Coach Cook is a QUINCY ORIOLE. He grew up in this town. He sat in these class rooms. He walked through these halls. He ate lunch in that cafeteria. He played ball in that gym. He ran on that track and played on that football football field. Then because he loves it so much he came back and for almost 40 years he taught in those class rooms, coached in that gym and on that field, led the Varsity Club, and influenced so many lives turning boys into young men and preparing them for life in so many ways. And now, he mows the lawn and takes care of our game fields to make sure that visitors see what a beautiful place Quincy Schools are. This school, this community, and those students including myself are so very fortunate to have had Coach Cook in our lives.

Please vote for Coach Cook and pass this along to as many people as you can. He is truly a QUINCY ORIOLE.

Go Orioles!!

Coach Cook was a great teacher, coach and mentor and embodies all of the values found in the close knit community of Quincy. His pride for all things Quincy and his love for the school and community should be recognized with the court named in his honor. And besides, Coach Cook Court has a nice ring to it!
