Because all swimming pools in Plymouth are either hard to get too, way too expensive, or too busy to be enjoyable

#11: jim - plymstock swimming pool

It isn't a scam at all and shame on you for suggesting it is.  Many, many people have worked very hard since 1994 to comply with the city council's edit to raise funds and prove the need for a pool in plymstock. The council have reneged on their agreement. They once offered land by the Broadway but the residents complained. I hope you feel very ashamed suggesting that all this effort is a scam and someone is now very rich.  That is slander!

Have lived in Plymstock since 1963 off and on and we had a swimming pool back them, it was open air but at least we had one. Plymstock seems to get nothing except new housing estates and no infastructure.

Have been supporting this cause since my children were at school almost 30 years ago. Maybe my grandchildren will benefit from having one. I do believe in compromise and if the pool needs to be built on sherford then it needs to be at the nearest end to plymstock where we can walk and not drive, maybe near the entrance of Haye Road.

This petition has been going on for years, it would be great to have a pool in Plymstock, my children are in there 20's now, when they were younger there were fund raising events in plymstock for the pool, where has the funding gone?

\plymstock is a large area with a high volume of people, many young families included. If we want to go for a swim we have to travel to Plympton or Central Park. To get to Plympton without a car is a ridiculous journey, we have enough people in Plymstock to warrant a swimming pool for everyone's health and pleasure.

This has been "in the pipeline" for at least 10 years now, why can't it be done?!

It is important for everyone to be able to swim especially when they live near the sea. Also swimming is one of the best ways to keep fit for people of all ages.

We desperately need a swimming pool for everyone in Plymstock. The less able and elderly need a local pool to improve their life and mobility. People trapped in their homes will have a healthy reason to go out and exercise by swimming. The location is on the flat and central. We have been promised this for too long now. Please don't let us down again

it's disgrace that we don't have one.

It's too far to go to either the Life Center or Ivybridge if you have no transport.in fact it's impossible from here.

Plymstock needs this facility. We always seem to be playing second fiddle to other areas of the city.
