This is an enclosed open space much needed by the community and the children, even if the school thinks differently.

As a local resident I suffer with increasing traffic every day twice a day just to get from home to work & back again
I purchased my home for the area being not to crowded as others & to enjoy the green spaces

The School could try to raise the money for their improvements in other ways - why dont they rent the field out to the community to local football clubs etc! Do we have to have houses on every bit of space in West Ewell??? The schools are full, the roads are full, the authorities must see this would be madness!

Ruxley lane is bumper to bumper most mornings, if it goes ahead there could be another 100 cars added to the chaos!

Have we not yet given enough of our open spaces to housing in the borough, shall we just lay concrete throughout.

West Ewell and Ruxley Lane are not the only places in this borough! Build somewhere else - i think we have had developments around here!!!

These houses will create over crowding in the area, over crowding in our local schools which are already over subscribed! We live in Ruxley lane and most mornings we have difficulty getting out of our drive, we can only see this situation getting worse!

We certainly do not want anymore housing in the area as we are suffering from overpopulation and extreme congestion every day... enough is enough !

Unigate, housing.......TW Hawkins, housing........Hardwicks Scrapyard, housing....Epsom Mental Hospital sites,housing........old back yards, housing !!!!!! Ruxley Lane and West Ewell cannot take any more. Our infrastructure is at overload and the schools/doctors/hospital/amenities are full. The only people who are happy are the lot in the Town Hall getting extra Council Tax !!!!!!! Stop taking our green spaces.

Hi All

Can you sign this petition and help stop the sale of this land to developers. The sale will affect house prices of some of my friends in Epsom. Please share and help with the fight!

I strongly disagree with these plans and feel we need to keep as many green playing areas as possible..

With obesity on the increase the sale and development of this land would send a clear message that Epsom & Ewell High School only cares about OFSTED stats and not the general well-being and health of our children.

In addition the planned development would have a detrimental impact on the character of the area, the quality of the environment and represent over-development.

Epsom and Ewell is overloaded with houses. We have had all the new housing on the Hospita Sites, plus more housing in Ruxley Lane. We do not have the infrastructure to cope with any more. I have heard one suggestion that the land could be used as allotments, for which there is a waiting list. This is a much better idea but NO MORE HOUSES!

I'm about to move into Scotts Farm Road and have already taken the decision not to maintain a car due to the incredibly high levels of traffic around Ruxley Lane and Tolworth roundabout. How can they possibly think about adding to the chaos?

Sadly no - it was one of our suggestions but a Developer would pay big money for the site!  Make sure you come to next meeting where we will be updating everybody on what has been done so far!  Get your friends to sign petition also...many thanks

To sell these playing fields takes away forever the chance for the school to use them .
