Armour Villa Public School Access Petition

A petition to request The Administration  of the City of Yonkers and the Yonkers Board of Education to move with immediate dispatch to address the issue of local access to our public Schools. Taxpayers should have the ability to send their children to schools near their homes that still meet the diversity and fair access goals previously established.  We are asking that City officials and members of the Board of Education set up a special meeting to review what steps are being taken to address the concerns of citizens who wish to send their children to schools nearby their home communities ensuring diversity and excellence in education is available for all of our children.  This petition is particularly relevant to taxpayers on the East side of Yonkers where local school access has long been a problem without a solution at hand and needs to be confronted and resolved  in a creative and constructive dialogue between the stakeholders.
