BAN FIREWORKS IN RUSTENBURG

Due to popular demand I have set up a petition to ban fireworks in Rustenburg. The rights of a few should not cancel out the rights of the majority. If ever there was anything that can be considered wasteful and fruitless expenditure, fireworks can. The negative impact on our senior citizens, young children, people with post traumatic stress syndrome, mental illness, animals, our environment and last but not least - the child labour that is involved in the manufacturing of fireworks cannot and should not be ignored any longer.
THE TIME FOR JUST COMPLAINING HAS ENDED. ITS TIME TO TAKE ACTION.

STEP 1 - Please sign the petition - my family and I have.

STEP 2 - Attend the public participation meeting on bylaws governing the sale and use of fireworks. I will publish the dates on all the relevant social media sites.

STEP 3 - Reject the proposed bylaws. They already exist in a similar format and are not enforced. Any bylaws concerning fireworks are by nature unenforceable due to the general lawlessness, callous disregard for fellow citizens, the environment and animals, rampant corruption in so many areas of our society and under equipped and understaffed law enforcement personal. The only solution is a total ban.
