Chatham County Northeast High School

Dear concerned families,

Most would agree that having a high school in the Northeast part of the county is a must.

The  draft Capital Improvements Plan has been released.  There will be a  public hearing on January 18, 2011, at 6pm at Pittsboro Elementary  School.

Here is the link to the draft for the capital improvements plan.

In the County Commissioners most current plan, they are taking the Northeast High School out of the budget.   If it gets removed from the Capital Improvements Plan, it could take  5-10 years to get it put back into the budget. From there it could take  several years to get the school built.  By asking them to keep it in the  budget, we have a better chance of getting the school built sooner.

This will be our one and only chance to get the County Commissioners to listen to our needs. Please join together and sign this petition and  tell them we want the high school and they need to keep it budgeted in  the Capital Improvments Plan!

Pass this on to your friends,  neighbors and other people who would like to see a new high school  built.  It's good for the children, your house value, and the county as a  whole.
