#9 Electricity SubStations should be guarded and protected

2014-07-08 06:04

Sure that an armed response company like Monitornet, Coin, ADT, OrangeFox can be asked to tender per area to guard the sub stations. How many millions does it cost to repair substations vandalized and cables stolen; not to mention the money businesses looses when there is no power. Just gone through it in Centurion and everywhere you hear of people who has suffered personal losses like computers, refrigerators, etc. It is not rocket science; put up a fence like they do at prisons (just the other way around :), want to keep them out not in) and put up beams and link a response team to it. Surely that expense warrants in comparison to the millions just spend to do all the repairs.

OVERSEAS there are countries where cable transactions are not allowed to be in cash: Having it per card or other electronic way makes tracing easier ...

I agree copper traders and buyers should have a tracking system in place for keeping record of the copper bought sold and transported with valid IDs and addresses linked to each person, so that a trend can be collected to see when the illegal dealings could occur and who was involved, just a thought
