The General AKA Rick Evans

#1 Second chances must apply accross the nation

2015-07-28 18:21

I certainly know it is unconstitutional and I am in the business of saving lives and truly believe in second chances for youth that were convicted as adults and sentenced to life.

I grew up with this person. He's always been a nice gentleman. And I think that he served his time and should be able to come home.

Eugene is a childhood friend of mine and a lot of other people. He has done (35) years and we served that time with him. He has paid his time. He is not the same as when he were a juvenile. He has evolved into a grown man that has been in deep conversation with GOD. He should have the opportunity to become a productive member of society. Be the example of what happens to black juveniles and help others that are going through what he has experienced. His story can contribute to ending recidivism. There are plenty of young men and older who can benefit from his experience. They dont have to go to jail, he already went for them. They dont have to go back to jail, he shold be here for them. He was always a happy go lucky, fun, loving, caring, loyal person. The last time I seen him we were 16 years old...35 years ago....We knew very little about the Judiciary system..we were busy dancing, playing skully and playing outside with our peers. What we know now is far more advanced then what we knew then. He didnt have a fair trial nor was he educated to know Law or his Rights or The Constitution to protect his innocence in a fair and just manner....With Liberty and Justice For All. Please Free Eugene Carney....

I know Gee personally. He was quite young at the time of his incarceration. I know that he is a changed man. There needs to be a change for juvenile lifers.
