Councils should put more thought into social housing and affordable renting, and enabling people to move to appropriate housing in the areas of their choice.

I feel sorry for the ppl that are not getting the help they need to have a bigger house if you got more than one child I know a friend that lives in a small place and they are not help her and I do not think we should all be paying bedroom tax and I think that ppl do work or on benefits should be help give a house place as well

I signed this petition as i agree. I live in a two bed house with 2 boys and a girl, who are in need of their own bedrooms and space. I don't think iys fair for children to have to share especially if they are different sex as my eldest is 11 and sharing with his 5 year old sister. I  also agree that elderly people should be made to downsize and have a property which is much more suitable , which will allow bigger families to be able to move.

I find it near impossible to find an exchange. I have a 3 bed flat on the second floor. No lift. And I have contacted my council about my chronic back pain condition (cannot do no lifting) and yet they tell me the current waiting time for a transfer is approximately 7 yrs, they would advise that I should try and exchange. No one wants to swap with me, have been looking for several years.

I live in a housing association house myself, but at one point was homeless. There are empty houses going to waste.

I think it's unfair for a single person to be living in a 3 bed house when there are family's who are in desperate need for a house and being forced to share a one bed

Because I am paying huge rent for a property I can't afford. I can't get a full time job because I will never earn enough to pay this market rent I pay. I have two children and I don't know of they will have the a room each. There are so many 65 year ups that are holding onto three bedroom garden houses that people like I would be so so grateful for. Also thee are plenty families with large enough incomes to be able to.move out of their council homes and make way for the less fortunate.
