Common Core will eliminate local control and local school boards in New Hampshire. We need to keep Common Core out of all schools in this country.

Common Core is yet another experiment that will damage our children and interfere with their education, thus interfere with the prosperity and future of the great state of New Hampshire. Dump it.

Our kids are not your future workforce. They do not need bureaucrats to show them what is in their "core".

Power is gained with control. Power is an end, not a means. Its really that simple folks!

Doris Hohensee wrote a great explanation about the Original Article 6 of New Hampshire's Bill of Rights. In it she explains the great lenght they have gone to over the last 200 years in order to change the original language of Article 6. You can read her explanation here:

We will be updating much of our content and hope to have a "Nullify Obama Care" petition for you all to sign over the next few days. Please continue to check the www.NHredress.INFO website for updates. We are also contemplating a petition regarding GMO's if there is enough interest ... but ... we need to do more research to address these issues as they relate to the New Hampshire Constitution, so stay tuned :-)

#9: - In regards to Our Future, there is no higher priority..!!!

The State operates according to the Doctrine of Parens Patriea http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Parens+Patriae ... But the original Article 6 of Our New Hampshire Constitution acknowledged the inherent, unalienable Parental Rights and Duties that We have to bring OUR children up according to Our Conscience.

Check out this 1895, Selina Kansas, 8th Grade Final Exam ?

If the government has done such a great job educating our children, then why is this test so imposible for todays eight graders to pass?

#14 Wisdom vs. Knowledge: The Transgression of Common Core

2013-10-10 23:04

If what children need most is to be accepted as they are and to be inspired to become more of who they were designed to be, then to deny their significance for any lack of conformity to the "STANDARDS" should be considered CHILD ABUSE.

Children who are encouraged to first LEARN HOW TO LEARN will eventually become confident enough to believe they can change the world.

I believe any child not fully taught this skill will feel inferior and will never have the confidence to realize their own potential.

Wisdom is attained through a deep drive to understand something beyond the knowledge gained for that purpose; it comes as a result of inspiration.

Knowledge on the other hand is only information gathered to no end and is therefore cumbersome for a child to absorb without a prior inspiration to do so. (that is depressing)

The fundamental essence of wisdom is to understand the knowledge we have gained through our personal experiences and through the teachings of others, therefore the most important thing a Child can be taught in any school environment is How To Learn.

I believe there is a time for a very structured environment in which to learn the basics of Math, Reading Comprehension, History, Music etc ... but as invaluable as these are to a child, they pale in comparison to the skill of learning itself.

If you're in New Hampshire, please sign this petition to Repeal Common Core and to Restore the Focus of Education back to Wisdom.

I firmly believe that a child's education is a fundamental aspect of growing and becoming a productive member of society. As such, it is imperative that local control is essential so that parents can be involved in decisions regarding their child's education.

I would actually like to see a constitutional amendment saying that neither the US Federal Government, the Governments of the States, nor any political subdivision thereof may pass any law, create any regulation, or spend any money for education other then education of government employees that is directly related to their jobs.

#18 Common Core Standards

2013-10-12 21:00

Common Core Standards make worker bees and are an offense to our dignity and sensibilities. See through it and don't buy in for the carrot money. Private interest interference disguised as federal "mandates" has no place in our children's classrooms in New Hampshire or our nation. Hold firm against Common Core.
