Hare Hatch should be allowed to continue trading as they are. It is not a new business on the green belt. Nor is it inappropriate use on the green belt. The buildings and impact were there before. They have just improved the whole business which surely people are allowed to do. It is a great garden centre, asset to the community, provides many jobs for local people. This whole thing has been a complete waste of time and money. I completely support Sheeplands and would like to see them stay open as they are.

A wonderful range of facilities provided and excellent garden planting. An enjoyable venue to spend time for browsing and meeting friends.

It would be a shame to lose the facilities provided here: the 'market' shop is a real boon to the area and competition is most welcome. The employment must be helpful to the area, too.

what is to be gained by closing a thriving business employing many people for the sake of bureaucracy. A fine to save face for those that may have gone against regs.

This is a valuable local resource providing good retail value, children's entertainment and employment.

It's a crying shame that independant retailers like Hare Hatch Sheeplands are not allowed to compete with their local nationwide competitors. In my opinion this garden centre not only has great products but also provides the "personal" feel (that most of the chains don't) and offers great facilities. I have shopped here for years and hope to do so for many years to come. Common sense must prevail.

First class establishment - any closure would be sadly missed.

Many people deal here,it is necessary to have a different shop to others in the district as there are so many chains around.

It disgraceful how Sheeplands are being treated they wouldn't be treated like this if they were one of the multinationals. They are a first class nursery offering friendly services and I can see nothing whatsoever to complain about. I am sure it is just Wokingham RDC just flexing their muscles at our expence. I would be interested to know how much this has cost Wokingham RDC in legal fees?? However I guess this dosn't matter aas its only our money there spending. Shame on them for being such bullies.

My partner is a dedicated childminder who regularly visits sheeplands and her children love it there. She travels from Burghfield as there is nothing like it near to us.We will do anything you request to assist in fighting your case, just say the word, some things are worth fighting for and Sheeplands is worth it.

I have purchased gardening items from Hare Hatch Sheeplands for many years and have been delighted with the quality of their products and the cheerful helpful and skilful standards of their staff. My wife and I are both retired and find it a pleasure to visit the garden centre and hope they will be allowed to continue in business.

I cannot believe what WBC are doing. Hare Hatch Sheeplands is such a fantastic local facility! Also, the justification for this action seems rather weak as the buildings were already on the site and there are also a considerable number of other businesses in the immediate area. The action by the council therefore feels extremely petty and I feel we are at risk of losing a highly valued local business just to satisfy the desires of the planning department.
A great shame, and a huge waste of council funds making local people unemployed for no good reason.

We choose to travel from High Wycombe, to purchase a wide range of product from Hare Hatch Sheeplands. Because you offer value for money, and we are served by polite, caring staff.
How can a local council,be attempting to put a small thriving business, OUT of business.
It beggers belief!

why would anybody in there mind want to do anything to stop an on going firm from thriving in this day and age, there are not enough people doing a good job these days they need all the support they con get!

This is a truly great business and they have given the whole area a new lease of life. They also employ a great number of devoted employees. It appears the Council are not taking into account the devastation the closure of Sheeplands would cause.
One would presume the Council is giving into money grabbing developers.

I am appalled at the way MY COUNCIL has behaved in this matter . My suspicion has been for many years that there has never been fair or equal consideration to the Hare Hatch Busimness and the large national WYEVALE concern . This Govt has promoted the development of small independent businesses but in this caes the only conclusion is that the Council has operated in cahoots with the large agglomerate . How many of the Councillors making the decision about Hare Hatch's future actually shop at the Hare Hatch premises ? It is one of the best specialist general produce, fresh food and meat centres in the area . This jobsworth nonsense has been dragging on for far too long . Talk about local demoocracy ,it is a joke ! Has not Wokingham Council heard of consultation and mediation and does no -one understand that the Council is supposed to listen to those people who trusted them with their votes . The whole episode is a prime example of what is wrong with local government today .I am disgusted by the whole hostile campaign being promoted by the Council .

When sop many houses and firms are flouting building regulations it seems quite scandalous that this worthy firm is being penalised

I wish to carry on shopping at the independent Hare Hatch Nursery. I think it is unfair for the council to close this site and show their support for a large national Nursery

Best garden centre (and so much more!) in the area, and they're independent, not part of a big chain. Some good, progressive thinking and facilities that complement the garden centre side of things well. They should be getting support from the council, not attempts to shut them down.
