I like to visit a real garden centre, with people who have real knowledge about the products and plants they sell. The quality of the plants are second to none, and the staff are lovely.

The actions of Wokingham BC in this long dragged out matter are totally baffling, and illustrate the worst excesses of unaccountable 'local authority' officials interfering with private businesses. The planning officials appear intent on destroying this business. If Harehatch is forced out of business, I for one will not be shopping at the Wyvale garden centre over the road. It is Harehatch which brings me into that area, and I won't detour there in future.

It would be dreadful to lose such a valuable community facility through what appears to be a genuine misunderstanding

It has always been far better than the garden centre over the road to it, the staff very helpful, we should be keeping businesses going not closing them down! For goodness sake who wants to see another 100 people out of work!!

Cannot understand why WBC are putting so much effort into this when they cave in to big builders.

It is an excellent business clearly valued by the public.Independent businesses are essential to competition they are also have essential understanding of what the consumer wants in the locality.Yes it is enterprising and should be given every encouragement to be diversified.Support local enterprise it adds colour and variety only to enhance to vibrancy of the locality.

I am pleased to have the opportunity to sign this petition. I have used the garden centre for years and it is my favourite - a family-run business that really care about their customers. They also provide employment for many local people. PLEASE DON'T CLOSE.

This is a truly wonderful garden centre. The children absolutely love visiting the animals all year around. The children's play area is affordable and fab. Great fun at Christmas on the ice skating rink. Please don't destroy it.

This place was great for the locals. It values them and was great serving them.My kids loved going there and getting involved with the free activities it offered.
Its a shame the council don t help support and value businesses which are an advantage to the locals.

This is a ridiculous enforcement and total persecution by Wokingham District Council. The business is harming nobody. It is on a site that already had a business on it and it would be a great loss to the community. It gives lots of local jobs. There is no good reason to close it down. If you do then close down the Wyevale across the road too. They are doing exactly the same and have expanded in recent years

Because the business is a lovely place to go and walk around and the staff are very informative and friendly - also prices are reasonable and a good selection . It would be a terrible shame for this business to close and I support it 100%

This is a lovely place with local people working there. A small private company trying to make a living and working hard to do so, ie local food markets, crafts and a small children's farm. Visist this each month and it is so different from other farden centres. Please fight to keep this place open!

Both my children and I love visiting Hare Hatch sheeplands and have done for many years. The play areas are wonderful and we have attended many of the special events that are arranged during holidays etc. It really was a fantastic place to meet, we would regularly meet friends and their children, you could enjoy a piece of yummy cake knowing the children were safe and having fun too. It would be a terrible shame to lose a brilliant, local and independent business that employs local people and so many local people love to visit, a real asset to our community. Hare hatch sheeplands really is a wonderful place and I hope this is all resolved for them very soon x

I signed because we still call it the week end garden centre because that's all it used to be open.
It has now evolved into a fantastic personal garden centre where people actually care, not part of a group, please keep it alive

Sheeplands is a very valuable site for children and adults. I had a wonderful day out and saw how the children were very happy having the pet farm as a distraction from the normal adult shopping visit. Sheeplands is a beautifully kept site and the staff are excellent.
Dissapointed

Hare Hatch is providing fair price products for the consumer. Why should big busness have no competition and be able to charge extortionate prices. After all we live in a democracy, don't we?

important business to the local community in area causing least problems to that area, to close would leave a derelict sight of little use to anyone. Why close a popular facility for the ordinary people of the area surely there is a way out by discussing the issues and coming to an amicable decision??

Because Hare Hatch is one of the best Garden Centres in the area.

We use the garden centre quite a lot and think they have a good selection of everything, and it is always good quality and value for money. Would hate it to go
