I have spanish blood in me.. and to call this kind of brutality as a cultural thing.. is not only barbaric but a load of bullshit! Cultural history in all old cultures would do certain things as initiating a young person into adulthood a boy into manhood a girl into womanhood aswell as ceromonies to bring on the rains or springs to continue to prospetity of the people. Even if you could argue that that is the form of the originally of this barberic torchure.. you show no consistency in the purpose.. other than being a gladiator in the ring.. with a already worn down animal that isnt even fully at its peek.. to be a challenge. We are not living in times were its ok to kill an animal to feed, (because vegatable life is available now all year round) or to bring on the weather on ( because again food is always available ) or for manhood womanhoid ceromonies ( because there are soo many other ways to transform from boy or girl into manhood and womanhood. For all humans who choose to kill mame torchure animals are choosing diregard disrespect for all life, for the earth and the many gifts she provides to sustain us. Its time to awaken into our hearts and find the beauty and appreciation for all of earths creatures. . For we are and have been living in times where we can.. we are not living in winters without food or shelter, we are not truly barbaric at heart.. to choose killing of earths animals is choosing disrespect and disharmony on and of earths creatures.. wake up.. these bulls, horses and cows are the most gentle beings.. they are not carnivorous animals.. but will do all they can to defend themselves.. as humans do. It is completely unnecessary to do this torchure.. so why do it?
