'Glory Days' Building - Visible and Substantial Action Needed!

TO:  ADVA Enterprises Inc, 5176 Riverside Station Blvd, Secaucus, NJ 07094

We, the current and former residents of Herkimer are urgently requesting that action be taken on the former 'Glory Days' building you own at 248-250 North Main Street in the village of Herkimer, NY.  You are shown to be the listed owners of this property as per the Property Assessment information website for the County of Herkimer, Village of Herkimer (tax ID#120.25-2-8).

This property has a long history within the village and has been allowed to remain unused, unfinished, and in a progressive state of decay for quite some time.  The property dates back to the turn of the last century and was a hub of social activity in its day.  While it is reasonable to assume that times must change, this is NOT the type of change we seek.

This property is in dire need of repair, or preferably, remodeling.  Its current condition presents a huge liability in the areas of safety and public health.  There are countless safety issues observable from street level.  It's assumed that there are also repairs required inside as well.  After a quick scan of the current Property Maintenance codes for the village, the building appears to be in violation in several areas.  These should be rectified immediately.  Upon completion of any repairs which bring the building up to code as specified by the village, we are requesting action be taken to rehabilitate the building to a rentable condition, or, to a condition which would facilitate its sale on the open market.

It is a large, but historically attractive building suitable for offices as well as a retail presence on the ground floor and would trigger a downtown revitalization along the entire Main Street corridor.

We ask that you please not pass up this opportunity to become an integral partner with the businesses and current residents of the village where this property resides.  Your neighbors are asking that you assist them in rebuilding and maintaining the high standards that originally made Herkimer the 'gem' of the Mohawk Valley.

Respectfully,

The Current and Former Residents of Herkimer, NY.
