Let's give 'The A-Team' a Sequel!

Dear Reader,

As an avid fan of the TV show, and the recent remake, I'm destroyed to find out that due to poor advertizing of the film at the time, 'The A-Team' (2010) movie is not to be given a sequel. The movie was released around the same time as the World Cup, and as Mr Neeson rightly says below, that is no doubt a factor in the film's poor performance at the box office on it's first week.

Personally, I found the film very enjoyable, as did many other people. Sadly this has not reflected in the shows revenue, and instead of being brave and taking another shot at the bullseye, the studios are shying away.

Now the A-Team has limitless potential for storylines, adventures and characters, proven by how popular the show was back in the 80's. The public clearly enjoy the 'teamwork' format, alongside the comedy and familiar characters that the TV fans appreciate. I say this as a student of both television and film, having studied for nearly five years in the industry, and I genuinely believe that given the chance, the sequel could do extremely well in the box-office second time around.

All four main stars (Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, and Sharlto Copley) have expressed interest in doing a sequel,

"Myself, Bradley, Rampage and Sharlto are very, very keen to do it. New York would cool. And a couple of other countries too maybe."

"I thought it was a really good movie, and thought it would've done much, much better at the box office in America, but the studio released it the day after the World Cup started, and I think that probably affected the overall performance of the film."

- LIAM NEESON

C'mon guys. If GI Joe and The Expendables can get a second chance at impressing the public, then why not The A-Team?
