Paid maternity leave

Hey mommies I have an interesting request. So less than a month ago I came back from a 9week maternity leave and I can tell u it's the hardest thing ever I'm sure plenty of u know. Juggling childcare, transportation, work, and taking care of the house. None of that includes taking care of yourself or your family. Although we have no choice because while other countries offer months of paid leave most companies offer none or very minimum here. I'm attempting to change that with the small amount of time I have. With longer paid leave postpartum depression would decrease. Our children would be healthier from longer more successful breastfeeding, eating healthier, and not being smushed in child care facilities where illnesses spread like wild fire. Mentally they would have a better development from more one on one time and education we can provide. Also emotionally they would have a more stable environment and more time to spend bonding with their parents for longer periods of time. It would reduce medical costs, and employer absenteeism as well as turn over. Please share in hopes that maybe with numbers we can make a difference. We should be entitled to six months of paid maternity leave. This way when we go back to work or children are sleeping through the night and eating some solids. Also they are moving around more on their own and hand gotten a great start. If other countries can do it I don't see why ours can't figure out how to provide paid maternity leave.
