Rebuild of Nethercraig Skate Park for the young people of Pollok

nethercraig skate park is situated in the grounds of nethercraig community centre on the corkerhill road in pollok it includes football pitches, rugby park, tennis courts and a running field. on the grounds is the skate park which was built when the community centre was refurbished. the skate park has a few ramps for roller bladers skate boarders and bmx biking. it is used by children as young as 6 years old upwards. it is now run down vanalized and dangerous. myself being the mother of one of the youths that use the park would like to see the skate park revamped or rebuilt and made larger as there is enough room on the grounds to expand the park.

my son and many of his friends have to travel to dumbarton to an indoor skate park called unit 23 which is a fantastic place and is very popular, but it costs to get there by train then a fee to get into the unit. when it closes at 10pm my son and his friends have to get a train back to pollok and surrounding areas and do not get home till 11o'clock 11.30. which is not a good time to be travelling.

i made a group on facebook to have people to come and join and have a say in what they would like to happen to the park. there are different age groups in the group who are all keen to see changes happening to the skate park.
