Save Dachstein jib line
Dear Planai Hochwurzen bergbahnen.
This petition asks you to save at least the rail line from the Superpark Dachstein. This rail line has only 5 rails and it has always been the most ridden part of the Park in every conditions.
It is obvious that for building one rail line it is not needed to push so big amount of snow like it has been now while building the whole snowpark (kicker line, beginner park, medium park).
It would be also enough to have two persons able to drive the machine and shape. In days, when it's bad weather, it doesn't need to be open. When machines will prepare the slopes, where nobody is skiing, then you can still build the jib line with minimal costs, and it will be the most busy place in the skiresort.
Last 5 seasons during build up was the biggest snowfall of winter (cca 3m). So lets build it up when this snowstorm and bad weather days are over and all the summer riders are coming. The best months can be June and July. Again saving a lot of costs and motivation.
It was always one of the specifics of dachstein park, that riders are helping with shaping during the day. There is not much places where you can see that. So please notice also this. If it will be needed, the riders will always help to shape.
With this three points you save 80% of costs and nobody will touch the glacier ice.
Please dont let the lobby destroy this unique snowpark and save at least the cheapest and busiest obstacles.
Everyone knows, that the glacier melting is enormous in the last century and as it looks like, it's not going to stop in the next years, but size of one rail line is so minimal. Lets keep it for some more epic seasons please.
Here is selection of some good times videos from last few years from the "roofrats comunity".
