Ban Neonicotinoid to save the honeybees, NOW!

      What are some of your favorite fruits and veggies? Strawberries, grapes, watermelons, or maybe potatoes? Without honeybees, you will never be able to eat your favorite fruits and vegetables EVER AGAIN! Honeybees are dying at a fast rate. The biggest cause for this decline in population is a pesticide called neonicotinoid. The European Union banned this pesticide, however the U.S has not.

      We need honeybees because they pollinate about 70% of our fruits and vegetables. There is a type of mushroom that when honeybees eat it, it makes temporarily immune to the harmful pesticides. Also, you can plant mushrooms next to the crops. So, when the dead insects go near the mushrooms, they die and a new mushroom sprouts out of their body. This warns the other bad insects never to come back again. With less pesticide use, less honeybees will die. Other ways we can help are; 

Plant more flowers/and stop mowing the wildflowers in your lawn.
