SupportGerardo

Dear Per Holten-Andersen

Yet another promising international student – Gerardo José Lopez Rodriguez from Venezuela – is now being forced to leave the country and give up his education at CBS due to a minor technicality. This is happening despite the fact that he has not received any benefits from the Danish government and has only contributed to this country by studying and working hard to pay for his education.

We as fellow CBS students think it would be appropriate if the senior management of CBS would publicly stand up for and support Gerardo and help him reverse this unfair decision, so he can stay and finish his studies here at CBS, as well as work and contribute to the Danish society.

While we understand that CBS should remain apolitical as an educational institution, this is not a political issue – this is about CBS standing up for its students, and sending a message that CBS will not accept that any of their students can be denied the right to finish their studies – not to mention losing their hard-earned investments in those studies – for no good reason.

We hope that you agree that it is also in the interest of CBS to fight for the ability to attract international talent and for the rights of CBS students.

It would mean a lot to us to know that we can count on your support.

Best Regards

Jonas Jonsson on behalf of the following CBS students/alumni:
