Three-Dimensional Printing for the Future (DVHS)

Desert Vista High School would benefit greatly if we were to invest in the field of 3D Printing.

"It is a small evolutionary step from spraying toner on paper to putting down layers of something more substantial (such as plastic resin) until the layers add up to an object. And yet, by enabling a machine to produce objects of any shape, on the spot and as needed, 3-D printing really is ushering in a new era." - Richard A. D'Aveni

- The acedemic world has been moving toward technological advancements for years and if Desert Vista were to invest in 3D printing, it would be ahead of the game and lead Tempe Union to further this shift. Once we can prove the benefits, a chain reaction will start to the benefit of education.

- Benefits will outweigh the cost.

- Classes who would benefit: Engineering, 3D Graphic Design, Computer Programming, Robots Related Movements, Human Anatomy, Chemistry, and many more. Classes which rely on viual representations could certainly benefit from DV's investment.

- For educational purposes, we are certain that cost will not be an issue (there is much room for finantial aid) and as the field grows, the technology will become much more affordable.

Feel free to suggest more benefits.
