Australia is a beautiful part of the world, and is fortunate enough to have some truly wonderful and unique animals. Please do all you can to protect and nurture what you have.
Animals have no say in man's influence on the environment, so rely on manKIND, to do what is right.

It would be nice if we could just take off a bit of speed to save wildlife.

i have lived here in australia for over 10 years. TEN YEARS! and still have NOT seen a koala in the wild. that is a shameful and sad thing. corridors MUST be left intact or this species will also disappear at the hand of man.

I live in the Campbelltown area and it is extremely important that we are mindfull of our destruction, I have seen and am seeing a continual land buying and selling frenzy and yes we all want houses but lets get alittle real about it. We are here to share this planet yet somehow everyone wants more more more and new houses. What ever happened to bringing up a family of many generations in 1 real home than gets better with age. As the family takes it over they add their own touches or extention etc. I dont know but one thing I do know is that it breaks my heart to think of these little animals that had so much habitat and here we are playing with their lives. Give them a break... Lets stop this take over...Lets think before its too late and if you don't think that you make a difference let me tell you YOU DO!!!!!!!!!!!

I have seen over the months a pocket of land cleared near my home in Qld for a new estate. The devastation to the wildlife in the area was appalling for so many species of animals & criminal seeing how it was done. We watched in horror weekly what it did to the wildlife in the area. It broke my heart & the hearts of many others. Over many years we photographed wildlife in this area... in a matter of weeks all gone. Trees go / land cleared - no getting it back once it's gone!! I'll sign any petition to help save our wildlife. Everyone should sign saving the corridors / bushlands of cambelltown for our wildlife. Good luck!

We need to start treating ALL Animals as friends and equals. We need to aim for a total world hominid (clothed chimp) population about 7,000 times fewer than its present numbers. Given these two factors, we'd have a halfway decent planet on which to live..

The animals only have us humans to speak for them. Stop taking away from them and start giving back to them before it is too late.

As a dual citizen of the US and Australia, it saddens me terribly to hear about and see first hand the destruction of vital habitat and subsequently its inhabitants. As a member of the Conservation Commission of my town here in New Hampshire, I have witnessed the power of PROTECTION and the money that can be generated from it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, instead of destroying, how about thinking outside the box and creating? In the long run, we (humans, koalas, the trees and everything else that lives in the zones scheduled for destruction) will be better off.

Appin has started to get a larger population of Koalas but with new development, already started and loads more to come it will be a disaster for the abundance of wildlife that we have in cour small community, including the platypus.

without nature, people will not have a good quality of life. we need bushland so we can all stay reasonably sane.
