#101 Save the night train it's always full

We travel on the night train between Basel and Denmark several times a year. The train is always full no matter when we have taken it. It's the perfect way for a family to travel and even though we do the trip 3-4 times per year our kids always look forward to riding on the train.

Together with my wife i used this train twice in the last three years, to start a bike-tour from once from Copenhagen, once from Odense back to Germany. Jan Prediger

#104 Es ist traurig

Wo sollen diese Entwicklungen nur enden?

Mit dem Verlust der Nachtzüge wird uns allen ein Stück Reisekultur und Freiheit genommen.

So soll also Fortschritt aussehen?

Ist dies ein offenes Europa?

Bisher waren all meine Nachtzugreisen besonders angenehmen und interessant.

I used the train a lot to travel from Odense to Flensburg.. and from Flensburg to Cologne both ways.

This train makes it possible to easy travel from Flensburg to Kopenhagen both ways and to travel from Flensburg to Cologne both ways. Please leave it in the schedule, Deutsche Bahn!!

For travels to Scandinavia it is the best connection with few train
changes.

 Guten Tag

Ja da bin ich daran etwas selber aufzuziehen.

Aber alleine kann ich das nicht machen. Aber mit euch allen zusammen bringen wir etwas zusammen.

Europa erwacht endlich!

The timetable could be better, but at least heading to CPH it is a attractive offer I often use...

Although I haven't used this connection since the 1980,s I think it is a scandal if Scandinavia loses its last direct long-distance train to the continent. I had planned to to the "Grande Tour" again some day but it seems to be impossible. Hope that the train will be re-introduced at latest when the construction of the Fehmarn belt fixed link is completed.

This is very very important for us in scandinavia! Please save the nighttrain to Europe! I don't want to go by day and waste a whole day to get to southwest of Germany!

#3: - Re: Save the night train

German train crew members of DB European Railservice invite you to join the manifestation on september 24, 2 p.m. in Berlin at Potsdamer Platz, right across the DB headquarters "Bahntower". We have collected more than 5000 postcards from DB customers who protest against the cancellation of all car train services and the cutback of a lot of night trains.

Yesterday we received notice that a member of the board of directors has accepted our challenge and will meet the protesters and will receive the postcards.

The same day, we will have a press conference at the Federal Parliament.

Of course, we will emphasize that there are several petitions which have gathered more than 11,000 signatures by now.

So: If you can come to Berlin on that day - join us!

Spread the word and the action!

I am a lover of cycling tours all over Europe. Last year I used the night train with bicycle coach from Zurich to Berlin and returned with the night train from Copenhagen to Zurich. It is really a good feeling to travel long distance on those night trains! It would be a big loss for me, if I could not travel anymore with a direct night train!!

This is an important connection from Scandinavia to central Europe, where the current night train enables convenient time saving and environmentally friendly travel.

The sleeper is the most pleasant, time effective and environmentally acceptable method to travel. If this train is scrapped I will be less likely to travel to Denmark.
