Who will benefit from more houses being built in Shirebrook? Nobody as there are lots of houses up for sale/rent already. All you are doing is making the wildlife move out and disturbing all at Willow Tree.

The council will only waste the money from this land sale - so preserve it for our children
They have sold off Portland Road and Market close to Tesco - where is the money being spent ??

Why build houses on the playing fields next to willow tree farm when there is a big field with an unused park on that could be built on. Why not use the land and help willow tree farm develop the land as part of the farm and help create paid jobs for local people

Think of the animals on the farm they do not want houses as next neighbours if they get permission for houses all the building work could also stress the animals out !!

Lets hope the town council do what we voted them to do and listen to the people of shirebrook and get behind willow tree = enough land has been sold off then nothing happens not just the land for tesco there were plans for a new development where they put the new road in but nothing happened so that shows there is no desperate need for housing. We have had enough taken away from us they sold off the leisure centre to the Town Council and that has gone downhill we need these facilities its time for all of us to get up and be counted other villages around us have and look what facilities they have

The town council are in talks with Willow Tree Family Farm to see what support they can offer. The county council didn't even consult with town council on what was happening as they currently lease the land from county council the directors of Willow Tree Family Farm told them what was happening. This desicion appears to have been done very under hand to try and do it without consulting the community

If this land is next to Willow tree farm then give it to them and help them make it better with more room for animals and perhaps a few more things like a shop to help fund the far

There is/are plenty of other suitable places in/around shirebrook that can be used for housing, let willow tree family farm use that land to grow and expand more, I have only been with my family a few times over the years, but I know it is a small gleaming gem in our district, and it should be encouraged and supported without restraint or restriction.

Playing fields for our children's future still being sold off to build more houses from which more children will come who have nowhere to play. Makes perfect sense if you're a planner or politician: Only!

Why on earth are they wanting to build more houses which would mean more families moving into SHIREBROOK without providing more facilities for them, the dr's are full to busting , dentist aren't accepting any more people, recreation facilities will be non excistent. It's a shame we aren't Clowne they seem to have the monoploly on having facilities tesco wilko aldi and now new swimming pool proposed. Let's try to look after and provide for what we have got not make things worse.
