Because wind turbines are noisy and grotesque constructions that do not fit in to the landscape of a small village, in the shadow of Ely Cathedral

All wind turbine applications are driven by greed.

I am of the opinion that although in favour of renewable energy the costs to society by ill located turbines is underestimated. The siting of these particular turbines are close to people's homes, close to the main A 10 to be a distraction to drivers and in an area of significant beauty of open skies and landscape.

The location is not suitable due to noise level for residents.

We do not need on shore wind farms

As the Berry Fen application showed, there is no thought put into these applications by the developers, they wish to ride roughshod over local communities and reap vast financial rewards. The case of wind power is unproven and flawed. They should not be sited next to populations or indeed the A10 of all places. I urge the planners to again see common sense.

Someone I know lives next door to a farm where one wind turbine has been erected. He complains about the noise the turbine makes when operating, especially during the night.

Wind farms are a major BLOT on the countryside.Do not work when there is no wind neither do they work when it is too windy, useless things

Consideration needs to be made to the adverse affect that massive structures can have on the psychological wellbeing of local people and visitors to areas of such sites. While few people would doubt the benefits of renewable energy sources, the locating and best methods of utilising such energy in acceptable ways needs to be considered much more carefully.
