No one had the right to remove Elvis Presley's name off the plaque. He took his time, after just coming back to the United States to go to Hawaii and perform, without pay, to help build the USS Arizona Memorial. He never asked for anything. He gave himself for charities, not just that once but on a regular basis including the Aloha From Hawaii worldwide special a few years later. All the money raised from that concert also went to a Hawaiian charity. He even paid for his own ticket to that show. He gave and gave of himself; his estate continues to do the same. How dare anyone besmirch his memory by saying his name should be removed because he was addicted to prescription drugs. I suggest before any more negativity be said, that people read the full report after the autopsy to understand how truly ill he was. He wasn't addicted to drugs for pleasure; but to simply be able to function and continue to work to pay for everything he and his family and friends and girlfriend needed. He died simply because he was so totally exhausted. His body gave out.
