CCTV Cameras in the Kiama Municipality

Online petition for CCTV Cameras in the Kiama Municipality

Kiama Council has started a petition to be given to the Honourable Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the New South Wales Parliament.

The petition of local residents brings to the attention of the House the local community's desire for the instillation of CCTV cameras in the Kiama Municipality to increase crime detection and prevention for local business owners and the community.

Kiama Council has allocated $80k to the project and is seeking an additional $50k from the NSW Government following the Federal Government’s commitment of $150k which will enable Jamberoo, Gerringong and Kiama Downs to have CCTV cameras installed.

This petition is to request that the NSW Government work with the Federal Government and Kiama Municipal Council to install these cameras to improve community safety.
