I learned a lot by reading up on that era and from youtube videos. Bare in mind the English had potato blight as well and they were not starving to death. And the Irish didn't live on the potato only. Where did all of their livestock suddenly go? Their other crops? Ships left Ireland every day, loaded with food taken from the Irish, starving them to death.
