Because I strongly believe that everyone has a right to have a place of worship in a convenient location, and I know that the synagogues established and used by the Orthodox Jewish community do not have a negative impact on the neighborhood. On the contrary, the pedestrian traffic generated by the synagogues is a boost to out city's economy.
