It has been sometime since our last update but I am pleased to say that we have been successful in our submission to the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (FLAG). Thank you for your support and taking the time to log your support in our petition, we feel that it made a difference.

The grant award is for £130k, although we must find 25% of the funding ourselves. We have committed to the award and will continue to work at achieving our funding share. This grant will allow us to regenerate surface assets such as railings, ladders, sheds, electricity supply upgrade, website etc. Work on the railings starts next week. Indeed, the Noticeboard refurb started today!

However, our funding efforts cannot stop and in addition, we need to focus on some repair and maintenance issues. Funding raising to help that effort is on-going, but we are hosting a Quiz, Auction and Raffle on 26/5 from 8pm at the Cromarty Arms. Last year we raised over £500; hopefully we can do so again. To help this year we are having an auction of promises. Some great promises are on offer and we are grateful to harbour users and Ian Rankin for making generous commitments. If you can't join us on the 26th and wish to bid, we have a 'commission bid' facility that you can use. For more information please go to our website at cormartyharbour.org where you can find details of the auction and how to make a bid using the contact us form. Please do look at what is on offer.

Once again thank you for your support.
