I hate this current calendar. I want my kids to have a summer vacation and not have to go back to school on August 1st. There has got to be a better solution that the three made available.

Your kids DO get a summer vacation.  How many weeks constitutes a vacation?  Can they not enjoy themselves in September and/or February in addition to the summer weeks?  I am very confused when people think they are losing their summer.  It is simply not true.
