LOBBY FOR DIRECT EUROPEAN FLIGHTS \ AIRLINES FROM DURBAN

The need to have direct flights to European Cities is critical for the growth in economy of Durban as a City. 1 in every 46 international travelers don’t even visit the Kwa-Zulu Province during their travel or stay oin South Africa due to the flights landing first either in Johannesburg or Cape Town. Our Province has some of the most sought after climates, natural resources, game reserves and majestic coastlines in South Africa which never get experienced by the international traveller. The massive growth in Johannesburg and Cape Town is directly linked to the huge tourism opportunities that are presented by the direct flights from Europe and North America and the Middle East and Far East. One daily flight of 200 inbound international travelers is estimate in contributing at least R 100million rand a week into the local economy. Please support this petition to allow us to show local tourism authorities the dire need for this.
