ADD AN AGE BRACKET ALERT TO THE AMBER ALERT PROGRAM

Kate was my co-workers step daughter and information about her disappearance needed to be escalated to the public immediately. To tell the public she was a runaway and not in danger because of guidelines is crazy. Parents know when something is wrong. The Amber alert might have helped find her the night she went missing. Even runaways are in danger. We need to give our law enforcement the right to act how they determine fit, not a guideline.

If my child were to go missing I would want to exhaust every possible resource to get him back home safely, including the enforcement of an Amber Alert. I would much rather risk "overreacting" than see another child lose their life when a nationwide broadcast could save them.
