THOMAS' FIGHT IS NOT OVER- END CHILDHOOD CANCER
My son' name is Thomas Reynolds. He was, is, and always will be the sunshine of my life. At age 2, Thomas was diagnosed with an ependymoma brain tumor. Over the next 11 years, my hero would battle 5 recurrences, ADULT forms of chemotherapy, radiation twice, a secondary cancer AML (a form of leukemia), more ADULT chemotherapy, 5 invasive brain surgeries, blood transfusions, platelets, Christmas in the hospital, etc....... Most of all, Tthomas was denied the right to be a child. He became a man as a child. Childhood cancer destroys the hearts of 46 parents today. Childhood cancer will steal childhood away from 7 children today that will be buried from their horrid disease. Where is the outrage for our children? Where are therapies for our children? Where is the funding for our children? No commercials!. No GOING GOLD CAMPAIGN. Oh that's right people don't even know what that means. That's because there is no awareness. You see when you see a person wearing a gold ribbon, they are trying to bring about awareness for childhood cancer. How many times have you seen someone with a gold ribbon? Never, you say? My point exactly. No awareness. No funding. No childhood therapy. A formula for failure. The death of our children. Don't think that it can't happen to you. It can. It happened to my son. Thomas was the most loving, caring, sweet, perfect boy in the world. He had cancer. Cancer took away his body, but will never touch his spirit and fight that lives on in all of us. Thomas' fight is not over. Please sign this petition to help raise awareness for our children. Keep Thomas' fight alive. Save the life of a child. Thank you for helping to make a difference.
