All dogs deserve a fair chance regardless of breeds. As for muzzles while walking, technically your abusing those poor babies. They have short snouts and you can collapse their nasal cavities. Pretty sure that could be considered abuse. Any dog can be vicious but to pin point just a certain breed is unfair. It all has to do with the owner and how well an animal is trained and disciplined. Any breed can be aggressive and any dog is capable of hurting someone. There are worse things to worry about, rather than thinking about if people have a pit bull or not, and if it's vicious, why don't they stop the crimes that, that specific breed is being used for, pin point the people who are making those dogs aggressive. Most breeds came about to be companions and to please their owners, because they want the praise. It has nothing to do with the breed, but the person who is training, working, and handling that breed. And for people to be harassed because of the specific breed of dog they have is very unnecessary. There is a list of dogs that are "considered vicious" yet this man is focusing all his time on one breed, pitbulls, which are not the only dog listed as "potentially vicious" or "aggressive". There is more to this man's job than hunting down who has pitbulls, and doing what he can to take them for no justifiable reason. Then at times even keeping those animals for himself. He is neglecting other parts of his job because he is focusing solely on the fact that it's a "pitbull" and it needs taken from who has that animal, because it has "the potential" to do harm on someone. He needs to maybe help educate owners and have other options instead of doing anything in his power to take that dog away. Breeds don't need to be classified into just vicious or none vicious categories. They need to be judged on their temperaments and why they were breed in the first place, and also their personalities being a dog of a certain breed. There are many options to choose from, but this man decides to take innocent dogs from their homes for no justifiable reason, except because of it being a pitbull, and the owners aren't doing what he feels is appropriate to control the dog. This is very unfair. There are dogs being euthanized because of its breed, and that is wrong on every level.
