Dover council behaved in a shameless and derogatory way. Where would we be without their sacrifice? Lets honour those the statue is there for!

It's incredible that a town of such historic importance should be lead by a council who put personal comfort and gadgets over respecting the forces and locals who gave their all. My vote will go elsewhere next time. Why is it taking the mayor time to think about it??? If it's not important to any of them they should NOT pretend to represent those in Dover

In other countries around the world, the national flag is flown with pride from public buildings, flagpoles, and even private homes, every day of the year. This is not just showing respect for those who served and those who died, it is a matter of national pride.

Be nice to be able to fly the flag of the country we live in without being branded racist. Those never to be forgotten e.g those that landed on D-Day seem to be being slowly forgotten !

Dover is my home town there is no way I will ever take my flag down ever in million years will I give up my beleaves n my morals for my country not for no one if they want to life in our country then respect our rules and the way we all live. The system we all live by is good enough for us then it should be good enough for them too. When we move to their country we have to have a lot of capital in the bank qualifications and to be going straight into a career but this country the government give them benefits, houses when this country is crying out for houses for the British homeless people. We need it to stop and start and the government to start thinking about its british residents instead of all the immigrants. And tighten up the boarder forces to stop letting them in as well.

How can this be, Their is a local government directive that both the Union Flag and the EU flag be displaced on Government and local authority buildings......
