It is a disgrace that the local council would want to deprive the local community of such a wonderful asset. We have been crying out for a safe and friendly venue that we can take our family to on match days. The new owners have provided this and now the council wants to put us all back out on the streets! No way WBC!

Fun, friendly & safe place to go whether it's a match day or not!
Much improved since the outside area has had a makeover!!

the council has a policy to encourage the growth of new business and should be working with the kings head instead of trying to impletment a muddled listed building policy, the shed is attached to the extention which was built in 1990 approx, it has no architectual significance in my opinion, so come on council talk and negioate, the people of warrington have proved that this is a much needed facility or would you like them to stand out in the cold, just to prove a point

The best pub in town by far, great atmosphere. We have been using the pub for many years an the addition of the shed in the back is great for match days.

This somewhere I feel safe bringing my family on match days. I wouldn't bother going now without that option there.

Whoever it is on Warrington council who is making this order needs sacking. Absolute Disgraceful Bullying.

From a St Helens fan, this venue, post game offers a friendly atmosphere and is not a blight on any view of the town.

listed buildings come in different categories. ie grade 1, grade 2* and grade 2 what category is the Kings Head. ? being listed does not mean the building cannot have the shed fill out a retrospective listed building consent form available from WBC there is no reason what so ever that it should not be granted. go and speak to the Conservation Officer at WBC he/she will guide you. ps you will have to provide drawings of the shed as well.

all being done, all we have asked for is a timeline extention so that we can work with the council, they would not budge, so we have put in the appeal hopefully if we win we can keep it up until full planning is considered without many major changes

Thinks the conservatory dosent harm the listed building in anyway shape or form.... thinks it should be left alone for the use for our match fans and away fans too.....
