We have a right to know what Government has committed on our behalf regarding oil. They can't keep hiding under confidentiality clauses in the contract - unless they want us to think they are conniving with these companies to commit fraud against their own citizens!

Fellow Ugandan's it's our duty to put this country back on to the correct path as our leaders are not doing anything. We need to fight for what is rightfully ours.

Speaker of parliament should be neutral in all issues affecting the country.i dont see a reason why she declines to recall the MPS.secondly oil belongs to all Ugandans not Speaker and other top executive there fore the agreements should be open to all ugandans so that they know their share. for God and my country.

The Constituion of Uganda Article 38:1&2 empowers Citizens to influence government decisions and polices in their favour. We can do this through our representatives or individually. Therefore, there is No retreat No surrender!!!!!!!!!

These under hand tactics of wanting to siphon oil into the pockets of the affluent leaders at the expense of the beneficial needs of Uganda as a nation must be stopped. When the citizen become to bright like we are doing so now, then the governance of this nation must be steered along the lines of transparency. No way out.

As Ugandans, we at least need to see those oil agreements because we believe oil is a public natural resource for all Ugandans and not for a few Ugandans. Lets uphold the values of democracy.

The petition is timely. We need to save our country by saving our resources.Hon. Kadaga should be taught how to run business in the August House impartially.

If there is nothing fishy, what is wrong with being transparent?

There is no reason whatsoever, why citizens cannot know the fate of their country's resource management.

In my view, if there is nothing to hide, surely why cant the Speaker just convene a Session to discuss not only the agreements but also the wider issues likely to affect our oil sector. We need to be mindful of the so called "oil curse" that has affected other countries with no clear open oil policies. Let us be a learning nation.

This petition is warranted and timely as a means of exercising our constitutional right to express ourselves on matters of national concern. It is a call to our leaders to heed to our call as power belongs to us. Citizens must shape the decisions of our leaders!

The leadership of this Government has no country at heart except to drain its resources we must stand up firm to resist its dubious ways.

This petition is timely, it is high time the citizens demand their rights and the leaders get to know whom they are serving.

For good governance to prevail, Government should at least appear to be accountable and transparent. We had enough of our resources being squandered.
