Without evangelism and mission to youth will there be a church for the future?

I'm not a statistics minded person but I would imagine the average age of church attenders in the UK is 50. The average age of small church congregations is probably 65ish. What is going to happen to these places of worship in 10 years time when a large number will have died and the active workers will be leading more sedatory lives? Evangelism, children and youth work should be the highest priority in every diocese with training and encouragement given to local churches to try and stimulate disinterested communities. Small churches lack the confidence and resources to do this invaluable work alone. Evangelism, children and youth work should have always been high on the agenda within diocese but never have these people resources been more needed than now. In the name of God and common sense please do not dispose of them. Rev Val Fernandez

Active work in this area has been one of the positives in a Church too often known for negatives. Please target those who often say No
