It would be great to have a track closer to home than Lebanon Valley.Nothing but good can come from this venture. May drag racing never die.

I think that the building of a new motorsports facility for drag racing is a great idea and would boost the local economy in CT. There are a lot of local hotrod car clubs, drag racers, etc. that would love to race here in CT instead of traveling to tracks outside of the state. I'm all for this new venue and support it fully.

I'm all for it But unfortunatley there are too many people that say not in my backyard, then bitch because the taxes and local economy is in the tank. I want it to work and hope it does.

This track is much needed.. not to mention it will get street racers off the streets while generating revenue at the same time.

Let's get this thing going. Off the the streets and on the track the way to go.

I think it would be a great idea to get racers off the streets racing illegally and into a professional controlled environment where everyone could enjoy. Also think it would bring a lot of business to surrounding areas and jobs also. I think it would be contradictory to not allow the track to be put in.

I only heard about this now by word of mouth which is nuts so only 2,100 signatures is no surprise.  Why not shoot for 25,000 starting with continuously run "Please Sign Our Petition" block ads in a couple regional weekly papers such as ReminderNews, updated to reflect the current town proposal.  Pound the table about all the benefits described in this forum that outshine the negatives.  Billboards and buses, too. Investors needed.  Get in front of the general population relentlessly until the earthmovers and excavators are humming.

Its time to bring some attention to the state, and develop programs to gain money from outside the state.

I look forward to having another motorsports and family oriented venue in the area. This location is a great spot in the middle of an area that has nothing else like it.

I missed the days that CT had there own Dragway. I started drag racing in the late 1980's and found my home at Lebanon Valley after racing at many of the Division 1 tracks. I always found it interesting that many of the winners at the Valley were from CT and many had raced at CT Dragway in its hayday. I would love to see a track in CT. Hopefully a full 1/4 mile. Ill take what we can get.
