Amend section 14 in the pharmacy act 53 of 1974, that all CSPs should be exempted from doing community services, if not placed at a public institution immediately upon completion of internship.

it is pointless for the government to have such a law and not provide means to implement it. we are being held hostage as pharmacist interns as our growth personal and proffesional is halted. all this is achieving is increasing the high unemployment rate even worse that we hold degrees which is considered as a rare skill in this country.

I agree will the fact that the regulations must be ammended

(pretoria, 2017-01-12)

Every year it's a struggle for us to be placed

(Pietermaritzburg , 2017-01-12)

I am signing because I am affected

(Giyani, 2017-01-12)

#441

I'm signing because I know of a number of CSP's that are now stranded because of the current situation. These CSP's should not have to suffer because of the lack of placements. The numbers will double if not triple at the end of this year and will continue to increase every year.

It's unfair for our CSP'S being jobless while the government promised and knows all along how many pharmacist has been trained and not budgeted for.

(Polokwane , 2017-01-13)

I'm signing because I support this whole heartedly. And I too want to help secure a future for all pharmacists to come.

I am currently an intern that does not want to be left in the position the current com serve pharmacist are in. It was already a struggle to find a position as an intern based solely on the fact that more pharmacists are graduating yet there aren't enough jobs in the private sector alone to absorb us for our internship.

(Johannesburg, 2017-01-13)

#489

I do not want to be held hostage because the government which wants to increase the output of pharmacists doesn't have enough funds to take us up. We have lives to live and families whom rely on us

An intern I know did not get placed for her community service. I think this is against her rights. Government forces her to do community service but then does not give her a job. She cannot go on with her life but has to wait until government decides what to do with her. This is absolutely unfair and exactly why people leave this country.
