I'm standing up for the protection 2 Kansas men whose rights have been violated, for the enforcement of Kansas law, for the 2nd and 10th Amendments and our Kansas and U.S. Constitutions.

I was born and raised in Kansas. Our state passed the Second Amendment Protection Act,which Jeremy and Shane were both following, they broke no state law. SPA declared it illegal for federal agents to come into Kansas and federally charge a Kansas resident with a federal crime if within state law. OUR governor and attorney general both declined to state up for Kansas, and OUR rights, and let both these men get charged, and convicted in a federal court. We DEMAND our state to stand up and help both of them achieve appeals they rightfully deserve.

It is obvious that Governor Sam Brownback, Attorney General Derek Schmidt, and the Sheriff's and local law enforcement officials of Chanute, Ks and Neosho, Ks, ALL DROPPED THE BALL, failed to keep the oaths they swore when they took their offices, Failed to protect Shane Cox and Jeremy Kettler from the feds when Ks law clearly stated that they would be protected. These two men have been through enough and so have their families. I think it is terrible that the federal government merely used these men as pawns, in a matter that is far bigger between the states and the federal govt. The 2nd Amendment Protection Act has been signed into play since 2013 and the feds didnt have an issue with it til now. There should be penalties against the feds responsible for this awful intrusion and violation against Ks state law, when it was clearly not in their jurisdiction to do so. Also i think there should be penalties for the people who didnt protect these men. They are now felons because they trusted their state laws. I hope that Trump sees thus and pardons these two so they dont suffer anymore injustice and can get back to their lives.

We must fight for liberty if we are to maintain our liberty. This case is a clear case of federal overreach. If we allow it to stand, it is no different than calling for the overreach ourselves.

Agents of the Federal (general) government exceeded their delegated power and infringed on the 2nd amendment Rights of two Kansas men. The State of Kansas is Sovereign and passed the 2nd Amendment Protection ACT in pursuance of the u.s. constitution and State Constitution which the D.O.J. and agents of the federal government rejected, thus operating unlawfully within the borders of the State of Kansas. Those who disobeyed their oath to the u.s. constitution should be impeached for their offenses on the State of Kansas and these two men, but first, these unlawful charges must be dropped immediately. Thank You, Mark A. Powls

I'm signing this petition because the Federal government shouldn't have jurisdiction within each sovereign state, according to our Constitution.
The states are governed enough as it is with local governing bodies & the state government itself, it certainly doesn't seem like Freedom with than a third body governing on top of the 1st 2.
In a case where the federal government is invited or something large enough to actually require assistance of, certainly.
This was 2 Kansas citizens, acting in compliance to their states laws and completely within the boundaries of.
They did nothing heinous, terroristic or treasonous upon Americas Constitution, citizens or properties, why would the Federal government insert itself here?
It appears vindictive.
Shane Cox & Jeremy Kettler are not criminals & they did nothing, knowingly, unlawful.

Natural Rights and Liberty must be protected.
Everyone has a Natural Right to protect themselves and their Property. The federal government has been forbidden by the 2nd Amendment in the Bill of Rights from creating any law contrary to it.

I have been shot at five times in my life. Two times during a home invasion and Robert. Twice robbed at gunpoint in downtown Chicago and once in DeKalb. I also experienced robery in Mexico and over seas.

Having a universal U.S. carry permit is critical for my personal protection and that of my family, friends, and business associates.

I was stabbed three times. It would have been nice to bring a gun to the knife fight. In hopes to have quickly defuse the situation. Preferably w/o even drawing.
