A man needs his best friend!

(Peterborough, 2017-05-04)

#9

No-one should be parted from their best friend in this way.

(peterborough, 2017-05-04)

#10

I have seen these 2 together and they are absolutely best friends. The dog is so friendly and well behaved. Most of us have pets that love and rely on us. To part them would be heartbreaking for them both.

(Peterborough, 2017-05-04)

#13

Fingers crossed!

(Peterborough , 2017-05-04)

#15

The dog is his family and as such they should be housed together

(Peterborough , 2017-05-04)

#18

This man should have a home. There should be no discrimination because of his dog. Who has the last word on this sad situation, I would like to meet them.

(Peterborough, 2017-05-04)

#20

Because he should have a home with his dog in this day and age.

(Whaplode , 2017-05-04)

#21

No one should be sleeping all winter in a grave yard

(Wisbech , 2017-05-04)

#23

Everyone deserves the security of their own home. Martin is a lovely lady.

(Peterborough , 2017-05-04)

#25

Family comes in all shapes and sizes and need to be together

(Peterborough, 2017-05-04)

#26

(Peterborough, 2017-05-04)

#27

No one should be homeless in 2017

(Peterborough, 2017-05-04)

#31

Pets are family and people should note forced to give up their pets in exchange for a roof over their heads. I have mental health problems. Without my cats and dog I'd definitely be dead by now. They give me something to live for when everyone else has given up on me

(Blackpool , 2017-05-04)

#33

This story breaks my heart. Good Luck Martin and Rocky x x

(Swansea, 2017-05-04)

#39

It will cause a great deal of mental trauma to separate them. It is also cruel and unnecessary. Why is this world so lacking in compassion!

(Ellesmere Port, 2017-05-05)

#40

Everyone should have a home!

(Norwich , 2017-05-05)

#44

I regularly see Martin and Rocky in town and they deserve a home together. peterborough City Council are a total disgrace!

(peterborough, 2017-05-05)

#47

I am on my own. My 4 dogs are my life. I am also disabled and, on the bad days, they give me reason to get on. I would never give them up.

(York, 2017-05-06)

#52

I've spent time with both David and Rocky. We met properly for the first time during a charity sleep out where we took to the streets of Peterborough to raise money for our street homeless and raise awareness. We faced for one night what are street homeless face every night of the year ... we were cold we had no mattress, no heating, no luxuries. David and Rocky joined us at the soup kitchen.

(Peterborough , 2017-05-07)

#55

I think he has every right to keep his dog and have the right to be housed

(Peterborough , 2017-05-07)

#56

Because they deserve safe place and roof over their head

(Peterborough, 2017-05-07)

#57

He needs a good home for him and his dog

(Bedford , 2017-05-07)

#59

Why is it to be housed whether private or council that people are made to give up there animals, animals give such love and become attached too, this is why so many animals end up being abandoned and homeless themselves
Shame on you council if you had children would you be told you have to give up on them to be homed

(Lincolnshire , 2017-05-07)

#66

This shouldn't be happening to people this man rightly needs a home with his soul mate

(Peterborough , 2017-05-07)

#67

It's about time things get done on our Peterborough streets

(Peterborough, 2017-05-07)

#68

I know Martin, he deserves a lot more than the sadness and desperation he's been feeling for a long time.

(Peterborough , 2017-05-07)

#69

No one should be refused housing due to them having an animal; no one should be forced to remove any of their items whether that be blankets, photos or even their animals... AN ANIMAL IS FOR LIFE, they ent just your pets, they're your family.

(Peterborough, 2017-05-07)

#71

A dog is a part of the family, if people can have animals in council properties why can they not house him with his family member!!

(Windsor , 2017-05-07)

#72

Nobody should have to sleep on the pavement

(Peterborough , 2017-05-07)

#77

Because it is unfair not to home some one just cuz they have a dog please help this guy and his DOG

(Peterborough , 2017-05-07)

#78

Martin should be housed even if he has Rocky.
Rocky is part of his family.
Everyone should have a place to call home.

(Peterborough , 2017-05-07)

#81

Dogs are family to many people and all they have. Nobody should have to give up their family in exchange for a home, I know I couldn't if I found myself in the same situation.

(Liverpool , 2017-05-07)

#82

It's sad. This man needs out help.

(Peterborough, 2017-05-07)

#83

I don't think it fair for someone who is homeless to be refused a home because he has a dog no one should have to go through this or even so give up there life help Martin and rocky

(Peterborough , 2017-05-07)

#88

A dog is a mans companion. He clearly loves rocky so much.

(Peterborough, 2017-05-07)

#89

Everyone deserves a roof over their head and his pet is his best friend and his life , council should not be discriminating against anyone who has a life long friend in a pet dog , they are more friendly and trustworthy than some people who live in council properties

(Peterborough , 2017-05-07)

#93

I have been homeless with my staffy so i know it feels

(Lanarkshire, 2017-05-07)

#94

A dog shouldn't stop a man from getting housed!!

(Peterborough , 2017-05-07)

#98

Life can be evil and tough at the best of times. No one deserves this much of a bad handed deal!!!

(Peterborough , 2017-05-07)

#99

To support martin and his housing needs.

(Peterborough, 2017-05-07)

#101

In 2017 Britain, no one should be homeless, and having a dog is no excuse! A dog is often a persons only friend and companion, he should NOT be told he has to give that up!

(Leeds, 2017-05-07)

(Peterborough , 2017-05-07)

#117

I live in social housing with my dog and I can understand how he feels being torn between his best friend and getting a house. I fully support him In petitioning to get a roof over his head WITH his fur baby too! I'd rather stay on the street than leave my best friend lets hope he gets given a chance !

(Huntingdon Cambridgeshire , 2017-05-07)

(Bath, 2017-05-07)

#138

A man and his companion should not be forced to separate unless the dog is dangerous

(Manchester , 2017-05-07)

#141

Because Everyman or woman deserves a home. Especially if they have a best friend the only family that they have is their dog. No one should be homeless if they have a dog or a cat.

(Peterborough, 2017-05-07)

#146
