We want this sentence overturned and a harsher penalty given

This is total injustice for the victim and her family and because I want the justice to change to protect the innocent not cause further harm to victims and they're families

(Adelaide, 2017-06-15)

#2

The justice system is a joke. How can one innocent life be worth so little. That poor family is now going to grow without a mother , a sister, a wife. Yet the kid who did this will be out in no time and be no doubt doing the same thing again causing danger to other people's lives

(Adelaide, 2017-06-15)

#7

This sentence is a disgrace. The victims family have a lifetime without their wife and mother!

(Freeling, 2017-06-15)

#10

There was a crime committed , a Life was taken .There must be warning for others who see you can do the same and not get a realistic sentence

(Adelaide , 2017-06-15)

#14

This sentence is a disgrace.

(Adelaide , 2017-06-15)

#17

I worked with this person and from what I know of him my opinion is he will never be rehabilitated!

(Adelaide, 2017-06-15)

#18

this is disgusting! a woman a mother lost her life due to some idiot teenager not caring about anyone else. toughen up Australia

(adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#19

That sentence was an absolute insult to society, the justice system is a joke that needs a total overhaul to start representing the victims not the criminal....... This was murder !!

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#22

This is a pathetic sentence for taking an innocents life!!

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#24

Inadequate sentencing & failure to acknowledge previous convinctions.

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#26

Courts need to start living up to community expectation. You go to jail for unpaid traffic ticket longer than this!!! Pathetic judicial system change it now before this scumbag and others like him kill the next person...and that person could be your loved one!!

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#27

There is no logic at all in our justice system. No excuse can justify the behaviour of this young man. The family have been served a life sentence, so should he. Shame on you.

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#32

Totally inadequate sentence

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#33

This family deserves justice. So do all of us law abiding people. This sentence is a disgrace. The judge should be ashamed. 15 yrs at least!!

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#36

I'm outraged with that soft penalty. That boy made his choice to steal a car and hoon drive.Even when police chased him he went faster.Send him to jail for much longer.

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#38

I'm disgusted at the value placed on someone's loved one!!

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#40

It's no way harsh enough. That lady died out of his stupidity.

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#42

I am so outraged by the inadequacy of this sentence

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#43

This could have been me or my loved ones innocently driving and suddenly being smashed into and being killed. I'm appalled at this sentence!

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#47

The sentence handed down is disgraceful and does not reflect the crimes in any way.

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#49

The sentence this young man received was disgraceful, he took an innocent life and will walk free to live his life .... JUST SO WRONG no matter what his age...His punishment needs to fit his crime ....!

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#50

I believe that as long as there is little or no jail or fitting consequences people will keep doing the wrong thing.

(Trott park, 2017-06-16)

#51

The sentence does not match the crime - it is way too short

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#52

this sentence is UNBELIEVABLE......

(murray bridge, 2017-06-16)

#53

Has he shown remorse. will he reoffend most likely. How can you let this happen that poor woman

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#58

This happened outside of my work - ot was a tragedy - it was MURDER- it could have been any of us.

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#60

This makes me wild. This kid, regardless of his age knew what he was doing when he chose to steal the car and go for a joy ride. When he chose to speed and put innocent people in danger. Just because he may have had a rough upbringing doesnt excuse you from being a shitty person who has now killed a mother and ruined a family's life. He needs to be tried as an adult, maximum penalty! Give this family some sort of justice! In my opinion, it was the wrong person killed in this accident.

(Charleston, 2017-06-16)

#63

The sentence is rediculous and pathetic for the innocent loss of life done by an intentional act.

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#64

This is a disgrace!

(Morphett vale , 2017-06-16)

#65

our justice system is*****ed. This person took a life he should get life. He will get out and reoffend because he keeps getting slaps on the wrist

(salisbury north, 2017-06-16)

#66

This family and Nicole deserve so much more respect than this. I don't know them but my heart broke when this accident occurred. I don't care if the guy was a kid, just look at his record!!! The judge said his actions/offending were horrifying, well I think her decision is horrifying because she is putting more people's lives at risk with allowing this inconsiderate, pathetic and heartless thing back out in public in only a short matter or time. He should have got at least 20 years, no less!

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#67

I am signing this because, when this person made the executive decision to steal a car and drive it at dangerous speeds, he made the decision to kill someone. Then when he actually did kill a loving and innocent woman, he made the decision to run, like the coward he is. Now the law needs to make the decision to lay down a punishment that fits this heinous and reprehensible crime. What is more important, saving the face of our judicial system, or doing what is right for this innocent woman who will never be able to go home to her lovely family who have been unjustifiabley robbed! Please do the right thing. Give this guilty animal his life sentence. Because even a life sentence is not enough for the decision he made!

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#69

Should be punished more for his crime , very sad for the family

(South Australia , 2017-06-16)

#71

Justice needs to be served

(Salisbury , 2017-06-16)

#74

This person should not be getting away eith this! He took a life!

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#78

I'm signing this petition because this poor family deserve to know that this hoon gets a much longer sentence than what he got. They have been through enough pain and suffering without the disgraceful sentence that he got.

(Morphett Vale 5162, 2017-06-16)

#79

This is disgusting. He should of got at least 20 years. This doesn't deter him from doing it again. The laws in Australia are far too soft.

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#83

Sadly there shouldn't be the need of having to sign a petition, but unfortunately our justice system is pathetic. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims family who has to live without their loved one for the rest of their lives.

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#84

We need punishment to fit the crime

(Happy Valley , 2017-06-16)

#91

Yea because

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#92

I'm signing because this young boy took an innocent life through reckless driving, he should have a longer sentence even life in prison so this doesn't happen again! People do less crime these days and get longer sentences but someone kills someone and they get off on a light sentence, it's so wrong!

(Mitchell Park, 2017-06-16)

#93

I am signing this petition because the justice system is failing this family and something needs to be done

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#96

This is a ridiculous sentence, steal and kill and get 3 years whilst on parole, what a joke!!!

(Sydney , 2017-06-16)

#97

The law is bullshit

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#98

Life for a life

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#99

I want to show my support for the family of Nicole. To show that we believe they deserve more compassion and respect by giving this little thug a sentence worthy of the pain he has caused.

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#101

I'm absolutely appalled by the sentence this boy got. You take the life of an innocent mother and get 18 months!!!!?? DISGUSTING. I will share this petition on Fb for the justice of this beautiful woman and her family.

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#107

It is about time the courts, judges, get it right , stop putting those people back on the streets time and time again. Do the job properly the first time, Don't wait till someone dies. PLEASE

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#108

Young or old he should be punished and justice should be made, jail time!

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#110

Im sick of penalties not reflecting the crime.

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#111

This needs to be a life sentence in an adult prison as he has taken an adult life & was sentenced as an adult

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#112

Idiots like this will never learn if the DPP keep giving these ridiculous light pathetic sentences, how does this set an example , it dosent it's giving these idiots the right to take a innocent life and knowing there are no repercussions for thier actions

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#113

I'm so angry this remorseless person with such a history gets such a pathetically light sentence. It is disgraceful. This woman's life is worth so much more and our judicial system needs to support the victims not be lenient on the perpetrators.

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#118

Criminals are laughing at our courts! This guy murdered an innocent woman and he gets a slap on the hand! He'll do it again when he gets out cause he doesn't care!

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#119

How much is a persons life worth. More that his sentence

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#121

He took a life. Do he should be given life in jail.

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#122

punishment does not reflect the severity of the crime...will certainly reoffend

(morphett Vale , 2017-06-16)

#129

The punishment does not fit the crime. An innocent woman was killed by their lack of respect toward other people. This does nothing to deter others from doing the same thing.

(Aberfoyle park, 2017-06-16)

#130

Nothing like giving a free pass to kids for killing someone. Whoever thought this was appropriate punished should be held accountable, bloody disgusting.

Why does our system protect criminals and leave the victims high and dry. Horrendous!

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#136

The sentence is a crock and a deterrent to no one, he took a life, his actions were deliberate and her life is worth more than this!!!

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#140

This woman's life was worth more.
His decisions need consequences.... his family got a life sentence, and he got a slap on the wrist!!!!

(Woodcroft, 2017-06-16)

#142

This is deplorable. He took a life and showed no remorse. People get more time for hurting animals.

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#143

This is disgraceful! Old enough to steal a car even though he knew it was wrong, old enough to admit it so old enough to receive a proper punishment!! This sentence is a damn joke and a slap in the face to the suffering family he has forever damaged!!

(Christie Downs , 2017-06-16)

#145

Horrified of the outcome by the judicial system. Let us be Nicole's voice!

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#147

I'm sick of the courts letting these kids off time and time again it's time to get tougher and maybe it might prevent them from becoming adult criminals

(adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#151

This boy needs to be held accountable, not only did he steal, but he murdered this poor woman. Now her family has to live without her. She was someone's wife and sister, if this boy isn't held accountably for his actions, every youth will think that they can get away with breaking the law and not getting penalised for it.

(SEAFORD RISE, 2017-06-16)

#153

I can't believe someone can get such a short sentence given such an awful crime.

(Sheidow Park, 2017-06-16)

#154

This poor family has been destroyed, isnt that that a huge kik in the guts, this crime shod be worth alot more then this sentence.

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#161

My son was first on scene and is severely traumatised, I hate to think of the suffering of the familt, condolenses. This namby pamby judicial system needs to toughen up, it is not a deterrent.

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#169

The sentence is a disgrace to the community and family. This boy/man needs a tougher sentence that suits the crime. At least another 10 yrs

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#173

Its absolutely disgusting that you can kill someone and get away with it
Wanna act like an adult be sentence like one!
Family has lost a love one for life not 10mths

(Seaford rise, 2017-06-16)

#177

Everybody needs to be accountable for their actions, regardless of their upbringing. The sympathy / mental illness card is used too often

(Adelaide, 2017-06-16)

#183

I'm signing because I believe our sentences given to people who do disgraceful crimes are no way long enough.

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#189

Im signing because this person ia getting away with stupid behaviour which has change a familys life forever she didnt deserve this and now 2 children have to live without their mother for this person stupid choices. No more mothers day, birthdays ect. Even lose just their everyday life with her its hard enough on a family when its of natural causes but this isnt and this person wont learn their lesson in 3 year they have taken a innocent life which they will probably be doing the same thing as soon as they get out!!!!

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#190

This sentence is an absolute joke..

(Adelaide , 2017-06-16)

#191

This absolutely breaks my heart, and I am finding myself disgusted in the Justice System.

(5173, 2017-06-16)

#197

if we dont start to stand up and be counted then where are we headed if our young person are not held respocible maybe the parents need to be held accountable

(hackham , 2017-06-16)

#199

Totally unfair sentence. Why try this youth as an adult and then sentence him under the children's court act. He should have been sentenced to way longer he not only caused the death of this beautiful lady but also caused heart break for all her family and friends. Causing the premature death of her mother, who lost her will to live after the loss of her daughter. Also causing traumatic injuries to another cars occupant. Wake up you useless pollies and judges our judicial system is a joke. This kids and hundreds if not thousands of other are laughing at you

(Reynella , 2017-06-16)

#200

i think this justice is a big joke, it sending the wrong message saying you can take a life and you wont serve much of time

(morphett vale, 2017-06-16)
