(Swellendam, 2018-11-10)

#622

Wild horses should be free.....have survived without human intervention up to now and are now prevented from roaming environment to which they have become adapted over time. Landowner should be sensitive to the position they have held in nature and perhaps the intention to contain and protect them is not the best for their well being as they are not in danger and have not posed a threat to other wild life in their environment.

(Cape Town, 2018-11-10)

#623

Wild horses should be exactly that- wild

(Cape Town, 2018-11-10)

#625

To have wild horses is a privilege- they need to roam as they always have

#629

These horses are free roaming and should be free to roam!

(Betty's Bay, 2018-11-10)

#630

Horses live in a herd and need to be together. This is stress for them being separated, especially, because they are wild horses. If who ever you are claiming to do somethig good for wild life you should release them asap.

(Botrivier , 2018-11-10)

#631

This is just plain cruel and so wrong, trapping these beautiful wild horses behind an electric fence. They have roamed free for decades and should remain so. Put them back where they belong

(Pringle Bay, 2018-11-10)

#632

These horses need to be free like they were for many years

(Fisherhaven Hermanus, 2018-11-10)

#637

It is definitely not right that part of the wild horses herd can be fenced in by the landowner, thus separating them from their herd. Surely it is theft to do that to free roaming animals. As for bringing elephants on to this property - what on earth are they supposed to eat? But I guess this will have to be another petition! Humans!!

(HERMANUS, 2018-11-10)

#644

Those horses are part of Kleinmond wild fields...they must roam free!!!

(Kleinmond, 2018-11-10)

#653

These horse MUST be freed. The SPCA must get involved as this is cruelty towards animals. They have been free all of their lives and no-one has the right to fence them in!!!

(Cape Town, 2018-11-10)

#654

There are not many wonderful things left in the world like these wild horses. These are animales with emosions and their own lifes, and the farmer is taking away the lifes they knew. One of the best and amazing things to see in Meer en See is when I see wild running horses being so free in life. This is not just horses, these are lifes. Yes maybe the farmer will give the food or whatever, but that is not it. These are wild horses that sould stay wild and free. So i am say no to the farmer to ruin that wild horses lifes through building a fence around them. Let the horses stay wild and free.

(Cape Town, 2018-11-10)

#656

It is disgusting that one selfish individual has done this to these beautiful creatures

(Cape Town, 2018-11-10)

#657

(Cape Town, 2018-11-10)

#685

Can we (humans) leave just one group of horses to live their life's in peace, which isn't affecting any of us.

(Cape town, 2018-11-10)

#686

Because freeing the horses is the moral and ethical thing to do. I also can’t understand why the Farmer wants to keep them on his land for what purpose ? and surely they do not belong to him in any case as there are wild ?

(Durban, 2018-11-10)

#691

I'm sogning because these horses are an inspiration and a beautiful sight. It's marvellous driving past the area and check to see if you can spot them. They must be allowed to remain free and wild!!

(Betrys bay, 2018-11-10)

I lived in Fisherhaven for many years. These horses have always survived, no, thrived on their own . They deserve to be left alone to live as they have done for many, many years. No human being should have the right to enrich himself.

(Hermanus, 2018-11-10)

#734

As a 567 Cape Talk Radio presenter I am appalled at this devious manner of entrapping the horses, with a natural aim to earmark as a tourist destination. They must roam free in those wetlands where they naturally breed and can escape from man who cannot access there , the reason why they survived , Arabella must get behind us, as also the Kleinmond Municipality and nature Conservation

(Onrust , 2018-11-10)

#737

Horses deserve to roam free
