#7

I'm a concerned parent as it is going to effect my kids' education and in no way I'm happy with the move of a school with rating from 8 to 2. One of the main reason for us to move here is because of the proximity of Bryan Road Elementary.

Prathap RV (Garner , 2023-09-21)

#8

My child currently attends Bryan Road Elementary which we chose to move into neighborhood due to the excellent school ratings. My son also does not do well with change so the thought of him having to get used to a new school/teachers puts a lot of stress on us as a family.

Holly Eason (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#10

I strongly oppose Bryan Road Elementary being reassigned to Avesboro. Keep Bryan Road as our base school so we can continue to have walk our children less than one mile down the road to our preferred school. We specifically purchased in this neighborhood for this lifestyle.

Kathryn Muccio (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#12

i do not want kids from our commoinity go to a different school than it was assigned to

sandeep gavara (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#13

I am signing because I chose to live in this place for the only reason of the Bryan school will be the base school of my kid. My kid turns 5 by next year.Evenhough we are not satisfied with this draft.

Nagaraj Mangaladurai (GARNER, 2023-09-21)

#14

I am signing because we have a 3 year old and recently moved into oak park community as it’s closer to Bryan Rd Elementary thinking that our kid can go to Byan Rd Elementary with good ratings

Pavithra Penmetsa (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#17

The draft proposal is unfair

Ying Wang (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#20

I live in Oak Park and we have been going to Bryan Road for 5 years. My son is in 4th grade and my daughter is in 2nd grade. We moved to Oak Park in January of 2020 to be closer to school when my son was in Kindergarten. We chose this home and this neighborhood for Bryan Road specifically. Reassigning us to a school that is double the distance away is unfair and wrong.

Nicole Johnson (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#21

Our children should be able to attend the school in their neighborhood. It does not make sense for us to drive farther away to attend another school.

April Dove (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#22

I'm signing because this affects my neighborhood. Bryan Road ES is close in proximity but also the better school by far. Moving these close neighborhoods to a farther, worse performing school, is not helping these children.

Crystal Allington (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#23

One of the reason we chose this neighborhood is due to Bryan Road elementary school so that our daughter has access to good education. We do not support this proposal.

Petition Against Draft 1 of the 2024-25 Student Enrollment Proposal

Nelda Pietrosemoli (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#25

I am against the proposal of rezoning schools that were promised to a subdivision and switching them to other schools once the houses have been occupied by the new homeowners after paying millions of dollars.

Sammy Benjamin (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#26

I strongly oppose the proposal that redraws Brian Rd., Elementary boundaries, eliminating Oak Park from attendance. we are less than 1 mile from Bryan Road whereas Aversboro Elementary is across town. Please don’t discount the importance of attending your neighborhood school. If redrawing the boundaries is needed please consider eliminating neighborhoods furthest away.

Danyelle Hall (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#28

My daughter will be affected by the new proposal. We want Bryan Road School as our base school. The new school assigned is 3.5 miles from the community, whereas Bryan Road is just one mile from ours. The new school assigned has a rating of 2/10, whereas Bryan Road is rated 8/10, which is the prime reason we moved to this community. I also don't want my child to move to different schools often and continue in the same school.

Janofer Meeran Pillai (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#29

I am against the proposal
of reasoning schools that were promised to a subdivision and switching them to other schools once the houses have been occupied by the new homeowners after paying millions of dollars.

Daniel Mariscal (Garner , 2023-09-21)

#30

Switching the base school that is 3x far, poor in rating because of no real reason. It would be unfair to all the kids and parents.

Kunal Dubey (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#36

Please assign Bryan Road Elementary Road school to Magnolia Park residents.

Imran Ali (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#38

My whole family is devastated with the new proposal. Most of the time when my kid come across Bryan Road Elementary School, we always remind her this is going to be your school from next year, she happily waves by saying mommy this is my school, but due to current proposal her dream is going to shatter. As a parent I don’t want to see her dream getting shattered in such a small age. I hereby sign this petition to keep my child dream alive.

manasa penneru (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#39

I'm a resident of magnolia park and my children are directly impacted of this change. As a parent, I would like to pursue wellbeing of my children's education and their future.

Jerald Philip (Garner , 2023-09-21)

#40

The number one reason I purchased a new home at Magnolia Park was the understanding that I would be giving my child a good opportunity at a quality School, in this case Bryan Rd Elementary. I paid a lot for my new home because they told me one of the reasons the home cost so much was because we were next to a highly rated school. I insist that our community remains at Bryan Road Elementary.

Sharrone Smith (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#45

We were assigned Bryan School Elementary when we purchased our homes initially and now all of a sudden this is a big change. Our kids cannot travel miles away from home for elementary.

Shruti Nanda Kumar (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#47

My 2 children currently attend Bryan road and are potentially being rezoned for no reason.

Esai Williams (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#48

My kids currently attend Bryan Road

Mary Williams (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#50

One of the primary reason for us to buy a home in this locality is Bryan road elementary school. We want authorities to rethink on their decision for the sake of children's bright future.

Srikanth Muppa Venkata (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#51

I am resident of Magnolia Park and very much concerned with the proposed school assignment from Bryan Road Elementary School to Aversboro Elementary School within Wake County. As it is clearly articulated in the petition one of the key reasons for us to move to his area is because of school rating. The purpose is defeated and leave the future of our kids in bleak. I have two kids who are currently assigned to Bryan road and would not like to move to another underrated school.

Thanks
Praveen Pusarla

Praveenkumar Pusarla (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#52

I strongly oppose this proposal. We chose Magnolia Park specifically because Bryan Road Elementary was the designated school. We invested millions of dollars in our homes to provide our children with access to quality education. Also, it defies all logic to consider shifting this community to Aversboro, which is three miles away, rather than keeping it Bryan Road which is less than a mile!! This is absolutely unacceptable.

Jaya Raghuvanshi (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#53

this school is a short drive and nearly walking distance to our neighborhood. it doesn't make sense to bus kids further away. Furthermore, the school performs well and the community is invested in it and the teachers.

Stephen Wensman (GARNER, 2023-09-21)

#54

I live in the area

Steffen Gonzalez (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#55

We are opposing the proposal and want our kids to be with Bryan Road Elementary only. School rating is the only reason why we move to Garner area.

Harika Atmakuri (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#56

My husband and I purchased a home in Oak Park so that our children could attend an exemplary school - Bryan Road Elementary. We live one mile from the school and I never imagined we would be zoned to another elementary school.

Hanna Gattoni (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#57

This is urgently need to be taken care of as it gravely impacts kids/parents in the communities close to this school.

Gaurav Kumar (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#60

My daughters started at Bryan Road this year, one in kindergarten and one in second grade. This is my second graders third school. We chose to build here specifically because we felt she would thrive at Bryan Road, and she is doing just that. Moving her would be devastating to her growth and mental health.

Andie Jones (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#61

We chose our neighborhood because of its extremely close proximity to Bryan Road Elementary School. It’s a wonderful school and should remain our neighborhood school given that it’s 4 minutes away. Our children should not have to change to a school that is not only farther away but doesn’t have an equal rating to Bryan Road.

Tara Williams (Garner , 2023-09-21)

#62

We do not want change in school

Rajesh Sarangi (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#64

I think this proposed changes would be detrimental to our community, our children and the parents!

Brittany Landrum (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#66

I am against the reassignment of my elementary school from Bryan Road Elementary School to Aversboro Elementary School.

Maria Pucci (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#67

Request to retain Bryan Road Elementary School allotment for Magnolia Park and Oak park residents. Both from a commute and capability perspective, Bryan Rd ES is convinient and far fetching than Avensboro ES.

Naga Radhika Chunduri (Morrisville, 2023-09-21)

#69

Main reason that we moved here to Magnolia is access to Bryan Road Elementary and changing that to another school that too with so much lower rating school is completely devastating. Requesting to reconsider this proposal.

Nalini Jellela (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#76

I am against the proposal . We shifted to this neighborhood only considering this school for my kids .

Prabhjit singh (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#77

Am against the proposal of reassigning the school that were promised for subdivision

Ram Kumar (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#79

Families chose Oak Park and Magnolia Park as their home for many reasons, but one of them was for its advertisement of proximity to Bryant Road Elementary.

As homeowners, parents, and members of these communities, it is our responsibility to ensure that future generations have the best possible opportunity for an exceptional education.

Matthew Osterberg (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#82

This would be detrimental to my young child’s education and his social/emotional well-being.

Erin McAdoo (Garner , 2023-09-21)

#84

We moved here recently to this place just based on Bryan road school ratings and we request not to change it to a different school which is 3 miles away

sandhya Kedarisetty (Garner , 2023-09-21)

#85

We purchased this home specifically in this neighborhood because Bryan Road was the base school for our child’s education. As many others have also purchased homes in this area for this reason. I want to give my child her best chance and ripping away a school with wonderful ratings to be sent to a school further away with terrible ratings is heartbreaking. This will create a negative ripple in our community.

#87

I want to humbly request the WCPSS to reconsider the school re-assignments for 2024.
People move/buy houses to get thier kid to a good school so that they not only get quality education but also best teachers and fellow atuddnts. That is the reason we moved to Garner for Bryan road elementary, the new assignment to Aversboro ekementary has cane as a shock to our whole community.
Kindly reconsider not changing the adsugnments.

Pradeep Pawar (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#91

I have two daughters that currently attend Bryan Road Elementary school. They have both worked hard to build relationships with not only the students, but the staff and faculty as well. When my husband and I moved into our home in Oak Park, it was under the assumption that the would attend this school for the entirety of their elementary education. My husband is active duty in the military and our last community was very heavily military. We made our move to this community in order to provide them with more continuity and stability in their lives. They both love their school and I do not want that taken from them.

Crystal Wofford (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#96

I do not want my child to change schools because of the location of our home.

Tom Hadley (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#99

Brian’s road is my kids base school

AbhinayReddy Gopidi (Garner, 2023-09-21)

#101

I am in opposition of this draft. We just moved here and a large reason we moved here was because of Bryan Road Elementary. Our children should not have to uproot and go to a school with a D rating, when we intentionally moved here thinking they would be at Bryan Road.

Mary Barrett (Garner, 2023-09-22)

#104

I live in the neighborhood and agree with the petition.

Alison Davies (Garner, 2023-09-22)

#106

Stop switching the kids to different schools! This only causes more havoc on the children and more depression! Keep our property values where they belong!

SANDI BRINKEL (Garner, 2023-09-22)

#110

We moved to Oak park because the neighborhood was aligned with an excellent elementary school that is close to the neighborhood and don't wish to be moved further away

Nicholas Sinacori (Garner, 2023-09-22)

#111

Our neighborhood is just 2 minutes away from the school and after our kids dealing with Covid school issues and then another school before our house was finished here need some stability at a school.

Tim Jones (Garner, 2023-09-22)

#113

My children attend this school, and I do not want them reassigned. Bryan Road Elementary was the deciding factor for buying this home in Garner. We could have saved a ton of money elsewhere if school rating was not a consideration. We are involved in the school's PTA, fundraising activities, and have made connections with the staff. Its our community school. Our neighborhood has supported this school since it opened. We are walking distance to the school. Not only is Aversboro 3.5x further away in distance, it puts us driving on Highway 50 during rush hour traffic. Drop off will take at least 10 times longer in terms of time, which further complicates our drop off situation for our pre-schooler. Please consider redistricting the newer neighborhoods instead of the neighborhoods that built this school.

Adam Gattoni (Garner, 2023-09-22)

#114

I am against of proposed school 2024 25 for my kid.

Rashmi Dhake (Garner, 2023-09-22)

#116

I live in the Oak Park Community and believe this is an established neighborhood that opened over five years ago and the families of this community were direct contributors to establishing Bryan Road as a successful school along with the teachers and staff. There are other neighborhoods which have not been established for that amount of time and should be considered as the neighborhoods to be drawn to Aversboro. Two of those neighborhoods are Harpers Landing and Oak Manor both located directly off Clifford Road.

Diana Christensen (Garner, 2023-09-22)

#117

I agree with the petition.

Bryan Battiste (Garner, 2023-09-22)

#118

My child attends Bryan Road Elementary and I want him to finish at this school without having to change schools. Currently, we live 2-3 minutes away and it makes no sense to draw a line on a map and have to go to a farther school. There are other reasons to fight to stay at this school, but you will hear that from my neighbors and surrounding communities that are currently assigned to this school. We moved to this lovely neighborhood based on having a good school so close, which is convenient.

Luz Schvindt (Garner , 2023-09-22)

#119

One of the primary reason for us to move to garner was Bryan road elementary school. i see a big challenge ahead for my kids if the base school changes from 8/10 rating school to 2/10 rating school.

SRIKANTH MUPPA (GARNER, 2023-09-22)

#120

While we have no children, I feel the proposed change would have a negative impact on our home values considering Aversboro has a “D” rating. People take the school district into consideration when purchasing a home. In addition, it is unfair to the homeowners that were told their children would attend Bryan when they bought their home.

Jennifer Demboski (Garner, 2023-09-22)

#121

I’m singing this petition because when I was originally deciding on building a home in Garner, NC, I specifically chose this area of Garner for Bryan Road Elementary School. I have 3 children who I wanted to ensure grew up in a neighborhood where they could go to school with their friends in the neighborhood and build a sense of community both at home and school. Bryan Road Elementary has definitely fostered and exceeded my expectations for this goal. The students and staff members at Bryan Road Elementary have become our extended family and we look forward to continue to foster these relationships as my youngest child starts kindergarten next school year. Bryan Road is so close to our neighborhood and we enjoy the opportunity to engage in the school culture they have through various school activities and events that impact my family and our relationships. The school reassignment would disrupt the fabric of our community. Our children have built meaningful relationships with their peers and educators; severing those times would have a detrimental impact on their emotional well- being. As taxpayers we believe it is unfair to pay the same amount in taxes, but receive a lower quality of service. Additionally, property values are likely to be negatively impacted by the zoning change, affecting the financial stability of families in our neighborhood. Bryan Road is our school!

Patrice Joynes (Garner, 2023-09-22)

#125

My daughter is currently attending Bryan Road elementary school and we moved to the community so that she can attend that school. The new school assigned is 3 miles away from our community and has a low rating. Please assign Bryan road elementary to Magnolia Park.

Kamala Bhattarai (Garner, 2023-09-23)

#126

I 100% agree with everything this petition. It isn’t fair to those children and their families that are in this neighborhood mainly for the home school of Bryan Road. Also, being a mile from the school and then being forced to travel 3+ miles, will even more so impact the compounding issues with the bus system. This new proposal should not be approved until thoroughly reviewed again and adjusted. Thank you

Jordan Allington (Garner, 2023-09-23)

#131

I oppose the proposal to redistrict Oak Park and Magnolia Park to Aversboro Elementary.

I believe that it is in the best interest of the Oak Park community for our children to continue their assignment to Bryan Road Elementary School.

Jane Tyndall Smith (Garner, 2023-09-25)

#161

Bryan Rd is a great school and why we purchased in Oak Park.

Jennifer Dykes (Garner, 2023-09-25)

#162

Me and my partner are planning to have children in the near future and want to keep the closest elementary school option available that is also reported to have a higher rating in educational growth.

Laura Hermanns (Garner, 2023-09-25)

#163

We moved to the neighborhood for the current aligned elementary, Bryan Road elementary.

Brittany Shriver (Garner, 2023-09-25)

#166

I'm very much against this proposal. I chose to buy a home in Oak Park because of the access to well rated schools for my son to attend that are very close to the neighborhood.

Mervyn Levy (Garner, 2023-09-25)

#168

I am signing because part of the reason we chose to buy a home here was the new school nearby. It is a new school and is very close to our house. If my child will be reassigned to Aversboro we will look at private school.

John Pentol (Garner, 2023-09-25)

#174

because of the academic ratings of Bryan Road Elementary vs Aversboro

Rusty Adams (Garner, 2023-09-25)

#176

The proposed school assignment change will have a negative impact on the children currently assigned to Bryan Road Elementary. The school board has not communicated any compelling reasons to move children to a poorly performing school. The board also must establish a stronger position on improving the educational opportunities for all Wake County students and less effort on reassignment planning. Also the reassignment plans tend to have unforeseen downstream impacts that eventually require more attendance adjustments.

Finally it should not be overlooked that many families make decisions on where to live based on the available schools. The families also make additional investments in time and finances to support the school. More time and consideration needs to be given to the time and emotional investment made in the school community.

Arnold Windham (Garner, 2023-09-25)

#178

I have a son who will be in kindergarten in a couple years and I want him to go to Bryan Rd elementary. Education and teaching staff are super important to me as well as location. My mother is also a teacher there and I’d like him to go to her school

Molly Beitz (Garner, 2023-09-26)

#179

Our children deserve to go to a school that is meeting academic standards.

Jay Greer (North Carolina, 2023-09-26)

#180

Even though our neighborhood is not affected by the redistricting, we have several friends and a lot of neighbors whose children will not be going to the school that they chose when moving to the area. Families have made the decision to move to the Bryan road district and now that choice has been taken from them.

Katie Waivers (Garner, 2023-09-26)

#181

I desire our school district to remain as is.

Ann Ayers (Garner, 2023-09-26)

#182

I want our school district to remain as is.

Fred Ayers (Garner, 2023-09-26)

#183

I want my children to attend a neighborhood school that we can drive to without getting on any major roads and even occasionally walk to school from time to time. I chose my neighborhood to live largely because it was distracted for Bryan Road elementary.

Alicia Winer (Garner, 2023-09-27)

#184

I do not like our kids to be assigned to a diffetent school.

Alessandro Pietrosemoli (Garner, 2023-09-27)

#185

I reside in Oak Park and am interested in ensuring that our children remain within a school zone known for its excellence, such as Bryan Road Elementary.

Rhonda Daniel (Garner, 2023-09-27)

#186

We chose this neighborhood based on our proximity to Bryan Road Elementary. Bryan road undoubtedly provides better education and care for our children than the proposed Aversboro Elementary. My child’s education is so important to me that it influenced our home buying process. Bryan Road is a mere 3 minutes from our home. We hope you reconsider this rezoning proposal

My daughter is in 1st grade and Bryan Rd is her 3rd school due to her special needs and the availability of services at certain schools. She has just now become comfortable at this school and the teachers and assistants are familiar with her and her needs. Transferring to ANOTHER school will be traumatizing to her and jeopardize her sense of safety! Signed….mother and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP)!

Brooke Walker (Garner, 2023-10-02)

#191

I am in agreement with this petition and would like school board to reconsider the reassignment.

#196

I am impacted by this change and I want to keep my kid going to Bryan Rd elementary school as this is a very good school . My kid likes the school very much and have lots of friends in the school.

Ranjan Singh (Garner, 2023-10-05)

#197

Because I like the school and school was the main reason I bought the house in the area. Want my kid to go to this school as the student progress is very good. It’s near to my place.

Arti Rathore (Garner, 2023-10-05)

#199

We live half a mile from bryan road elementary and the whole reason of buying a house in garner is because of bryan road school. I would want my daughter to stay at bryan road for next year and the following years until she completes her 5th grade.

Vijay Chandra (Garner, 2023-10-05)

#200

One of the main reasons for moving to garner is because of bryan road school. My daughter loves this school so much and I want my daughter to stay at bryan road all through her elementary.
