At the beginning of the year before the signing of contracts we were promise R500 cash back per semester for choosing 3 sharing room, which equals to a R1000 for both semesters but that promise was never kept. The wifi is really bad and worse part is that exam season is upon us and we can’t be at risk of failing just because of bad WiFi. Also, I believe this accomodation is in breach of contract as we were promised “Free laundry services” and now we are required to pay for laundry services of which it’s false advertising.

I have been facing trouble regarding the WiFi connection in my room. The WiFi is giving me trouble when I want to study so much so that I have to go to campus instead of studying here at Res.
There hasn't been any communication regarding our R1000 cash back that we were promised before signing the lease in January.
The elevator is also an issue as when I want to go to other floors the button to call it up is not working.
Lack of maintenance and infrastructure.

Digz has failed to deliver in all of the services they claim to provide. Besides the wifi and not getting our cash backs, I've lost a lot of money in those useless washing machines and dryers. Also, how is it fair that I'm paying rent of R4500 every month whilst I stay with 3 other people and somebody pays that same amount in better living conditions. The cleaning crew can't do their job. They leave this place twice as disgusting, especially our shower with all those yellow stains. We don't even have sanitary bins !

All of the above mentioned problems. I've tirelessly reported leaking pipes from the sink and bathroom, there's a serious stench coming from these. I seldom use the bathroom, other than showering. The beds are old and uncomfortable. My roommate and I had to limit the amount of food we buy because we've been using a single minibar fridge or whatever this is. This has been a terrible first year, I don't wish anyone such living conditions, having to deal with being away from home, alone, this place didn't let me forget about home even once!!! I fell for the false advertisement.

Student digz said that laundry is free on their lease, now we're paying to wash our clothes. R1600 cash back for 2+2 sharing tenants was guaranteed for anyone who signs the lease respectively, but after the signature they said the cash back was for Nsfas students only, which is a lie because they never specified that before. The cash backs were meant to lure students to Sign 3 sharing and 2+2 sharing rooms, let it stay like that, don't lie and exclude us for lousy reasons, I'm a bursary student and i add value to this Res like any other Student, therefore I deserve anything that's directed to student digz tenants like any other individual.
