The Drum has played an integral part of the development of a lot of black/asian musicians, singers, playwrites, comedians within Birmingham and its surrounding areas. It has been a meeting point for many discussions that have brought communities together for greater causes. We need to keep this for our community

It is important place and closing it will bring the fatal consequences for the future generations. People are complaining for the violence and aggression. When you will close it the more attractive became culture of gangs because the offer some bonds and forms of spending time. The Drum help people to feel their identity and learn new things. It seems obvious and like must be direction. Drum support any other issue as well-being promoting active style of life. Yet all need to accept that artists shall be paid for their work .

I was once told that by 2016 black people will got no where to go and make a fool of themselves
Because there's a campaign to close down Everywhere that they socialised
The police can do something different to make people feel more safe and even behaved in a respectable way? I would love people out there to voice their respective opinions, conclusions and express themselves

The Drum is a significant venue for cultural and business events. It would be a very sad day if this iconic venue was to close because I know it would be snapped up really quickly by other cultural groups. It must remain with the black and ethnic minority groups so come on people let's save our venue save our cultural heritage NOW!

The Drum brings the community together. It creates an air of love, peace, joy, happiness when people can come together in one place to enjoy themselves. In the current climate our community needs more place like the Drum. It will be a shame to shut it down.

Because art is important and the drum is a vital part of the community. It's also important as a place that focuses on Black/Asian artists and voices

I have been going to The Drum for many years, it hosts various forms of entertainment from ethnic minority performers and brings about social cohesion to the inner city at affordable prices.

I worked at the Drum for 6 years, building many skills and friendships along the way. It was an environment that enabled me to grow and develop self expression.
It is a crying shame to lose this community hub, which fostered inclusion, creativity, expression, diversity, entertainment and celebration of cultures among other great things.

Because I don't want the drum to close. It's the only place in Aston that you can go and get some real entertainment. So please don't close it.

Because The Drum has contributed to developing, inspiring, encouraging young and old to engage in the Arts and History of Caribbean and Asian cultures through music, Exhibitions, conferences etc. a much needed resource for communities that already suffer economic and social disadvantage and deprivation

Birmingham has no other venues of this nature, the drum is vital to the showcase of arts, music and entertainment from not only all over the world but for local talent to showcase.

Because the day Drum has always supported us. Was & still is one of the few places that will showcase talent unconditionally. We need places like this to remain in Birmingham.

There is nothing else like the drum this side of the city.
It's nice not travel too far to have a good time.

It is important that as a society we ensure there are outlets within the community that our young ppl can engage with to help collectively reduce the level of anti social behaviour that has been produced as a result of the decline in youth centre's, projects and so forth!

The drum is plays a very important part of the community & its a place embrace the wider part of the community not just the black community, its of great value & keeps its prices at a reasonable price & gives people the opportunity to experience plays poetry music venue where other venue would charge at a much more higher price,it's a place where the young to the much older person can asset to the many entertainment that's on offer, children have somewhere to go lets not forget there's not many places where children can attend & learn about the arts & help them hanging about the streets & getting into trouble gangs etc, to close the DRUM would cause alot of devastation to the whole community
