Write a comment...I wonder how many of the people who have signed this petition have actually set foot in the current school recently. Are you really able to make an informed opinion if you haven't? Tunstall is a rat run for commuters. It is tiresome that parents are being blamed for the traffic. Some parents including myself walk to school! The pathway to the current school is far too narrow and totally dangerous. I welcome the new school with open arms despite living very very close to it and no doubt people may park in front of my house during school drop off and pick up times. Last time I checked, I don't own the road. Tunstall is a Church of England School educating children who live both locally and those who attend church regularly. People should not be denied an excellent education because of their post code.

How niave and simplistic of you to think that the issue of the increase in traffic through Tunstall would be solved by a new school building.  I have lived here for over 25 years and the cause of the increase in traffic through the village has been brought about by the building of the large estate off Bell Road.  Not so much of a rat run as the most direct road link for the increase in population to reach  Maidstone and the M20 Motorway.  Another example of poorly thought out and unwanted extensive building without proper thought to the attendant necessary infrastructure.  The building of a new school will do absolutely nothing to alleviate that problem only make it much, much worse.  The supposed 'traffic calming' measures through Tunstall that have made it such a nightmare road to drive through let alone walk through should clearly indicate to you that the so called authorities are incapable of working out clear sollutions and will only compound the difficulties in the village.  Other much less damaging and much more useful measures are there to be applied.  It isn't necessary or desirable to take this very destructive route in building an unwanted school which will destroy the nature of the village.

Consider the reasons why you like the education that your children receive at Tunstall as it is now, the quality is good, the results are good, the environment is caring, small and secure. Consider the reasons why parents did not choose Grove Park School - for example, as it is comparable in size to the proposed new build. Then consider exactly what it is KCC really want out of this new build. They are not building this just because there is a short fall of places. KCC will have other plans for this beautiful new building, which may include specialist units for children who struggle to cope with mainstream schooling, for example. All children are special, and deserve the best we can offer them. This new build will come as a great start to so many more children and all their wonderful little idiosyncracies. County will expect payback. A good place to start comparing schools is the Ofsted Dashboard............. We need a new school but not here, it will just make the journey for the people of Sonara Fields 500m further.

How silly and naive you sound. If your argument against those who oppose the school is that tunstall road is a rat run for commuters, how can you possibly think that that will be improved by putting a new school at the proposed site?
